I know this is a 4 year old comment, but the reality is that a lot of performers struggle with depression. Whether that's imposter syndrome, things in their own life/past that they just can't get over. Nobody wants to be an addict. Speaking as one myself, we've all got demons, we've all got things that we think help us cope, only to find that the things that we think we can use as a band-aid tear the wounds open even more and plunge the knife deeper. You don't just recover from addiction, once in you're in recovery, you're in recovery. You don't just stop being an addict, and you never stop thinking about what led you there

The best of the greatest rock band group musicians of Breaking Benjamin and his album was very highest ranking sold out in many thousands copy of them,The most underrated rock band group over the world since they were more famously than the other rock band group musicians. He also have a great idol music rock band group musicians influence of the Nirvana in the early 90s since he was a teenager and then he also doing his style like Nirvana and also combine his voice vocal chords structure with screamo type of loud screamo and growling screamo. He also very creative talented rock band music with his a good song like the most I like is a sad song and he has a great gift for doing writing on it the lyrics of the best sad song, love song, romantic song ever but not only the metal song he can do with anything he have and also cool you know.Wow,I love Breaking Benjamin band since I was very addicted to the other rock band group musicians of Linkin Park,Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot and more. This band started in the early year of 2002 when I was kindergarten school that I never heard their song for the first time.

Chad lived about 8 hours or more southwest of Wilkes-Barre.....a couple states away. I see some fans seem to be or had been terribly misled. While it is true Benjamin is the primary songwriter, he is no way the sole songwriter. There have been entire songs as far as I know that were written mostly by other members. For example, "Believe" off We Are Not Alone was primarily written by Aaron Fink, as I recall hearing. Plus Mark Klepaski co-wrote "Breath." All it takes is some searching to know that Ben is not the sole songwriter. I will admit in this interview, and in many others Ben makes it sound like he does most of the work himself, which is true to an extent but the other members had more to do with album-writing than is put on.

I also went through depression.
I love Ben Burnley. You can tell he puts so much effort and feeling and emotion into his songs it's unbelievable. He is my favorite singer and Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band. I hope they come back.
totally agree with you, i went through a hard time and could easily relate to songs in breaking benjamin, now that i'm over them, i still love to listen to BB for the fun of it, it was such a huge part of my life. Too bad SOME people don't understand that.
I will say this and I dont care if someone just decides to becan asshole but anyways breaking benjamin are one of my biggest influences in music. Ben is an awesome guy he does what he can for his fans even though he is in pain from his illness.

I Fucking LOVE them
I love this band . Definitely one of my most favorite. Every song I feel. Ben’s such a beautiful person and it shows in every song ! I’m seeing them next month and I’m so excited
I am totally blown away by everything he writes especially in the last album since it is noticeable how much the lyrics are more deep and make sense throughout the whole song where in some past songs there were stuff that did sound absolutely amazing in the song even though they lack sense a bit. He is a LEGEND and i it's not possible for me to love more what he does!
ben was influenced my nirvana...i was influenced by ben...i started learning guitar the very next day after hearing diary of jane...and his music...simply the best...most of his songs relate to my life..
so in love w/ him😍😍😍
I can relate to Ben in so many ways. I'm still in my teens, and what got me into music was in fact Nirvana, and I'm like Ben in that sense. I play guitar and sing and I get a lot of influence from Ben and his style of music and his lyrics. He's a music genius, both when he was drinking and even when sober. I love all his music and all of his songs and every single one I can find a deep and personal meaning to relate to. He's so underrated, and should be on top of the music world right now.
wow... Ben is so honest, it reflects on their songs. awesome!
This is one of the first videos I've seen on KZread with a significant number of "likes" and no "dislikes". Breaking Benjamin, forever.
Ben's so adorable lol his my idol!!!!!!! \m/
Oh God NO!!!! BEN!!! ;-; This breaks my heart! He's even crying minute 3:21 God Help Me! I can't.....! x$ I love him so much. He's one of my greatest idols. He's such a fighter and has lots of talent. WE LOVE YOU BEN!

look at his smileeeeeeeee! so pretty:D love it:D
He has such a better relationship with the current "members". Even before Aaron and Mark screwed up by releasing that garbage version Blow Me Away. You can tell in this interview he's so much happier now a days.
Breaking Benjamin is better than Nirvana ,at least to me. ._.

Favorite band of all time
I LOVE BREAKING BENJAMIN
I am brazilian and I love the musics that guys play.I didn't know that the vocalist was kinda problematic with alcohol and whatever.,,It would be such a pity if they stop playing and creating these wonderful songs that inspire and confort me so much
Such an awesome person. Great video. I started listening since I was a teen. I struggled a lot to fit in because I had some mental issues. I still do. I'm trying to keep my tears back as I write this. Thank you so much because your music has saved me. 🥲
Best band in the world. Well they would be if Ben would travel the world. But oh well I'm happy to have their music
Listening in Nov 2020, please never stop making Capo1 Am,Am,F,G musics. LOL
I can relate to them. I think they stand out from other such bands such as Three Days Grace or Trapt or even Skillet. They are kinda moodier, but at the same time, you can be in any mood to enjoy it. It is hard to get that
pls make a top 10 bb songs...thk u

Dear agony is my fav album
fucking love this dude

0:25 Origin story of breaking Benjamin 0:55 Growing up did you have any musical Idols 1:28 what is your writing process like 2:01 how does the sound of breaking Benjamin evolved since the beginning 2:29 what you guys were going for dear agony 3:20 thematically, the album seems to follow the same line of thinking. Was this a conscious decision
@watchmojo As a fan of both Watchmojo countdowns and Breaking Benjamin, I would like to ask for the people behind Watchmojo to please make a Top Ten Breaking Benjamin songs
@Plozen Billy worked on We Are Not Alone, not on Phobia, lol
So sad to see the band in pieces and that he's gotten problems with alcohol.. its very destroying and harmful drug when used very often... Ben seems to be a really nice guy and he is one of my biggest idols out there! I'd die to meet him! His voice and ability to scream along with guitar skills and song writing makes him kinda supernatural! Gah... frustrated!
I chuckled in the first minute of this, current line up was found in the area....did he forget that Chad was found via an online competition to find a new drummer. Chad lived about 8 hours or more southwest of Wilkes-Barre.....a couple states away. We likely also won't see a new album in the likes of the previous 4, listen closer to "Without You"-Sing something new, I have nothing left, I cant face the dark without you. He's tapped out of what he deems original material
One word...........Awesome!

This man is an inspiration for so many people. His life story is very beautiful.

@TheBlak0utt I agree . He made it more family friendly in Dear Agony than all of the other albums . Don't get me wrong , Phobia was pretty good , but I don't like it that everybody can listen to it . I love you Breaking Benjamin !
1000th like! :D
He is one of my musical heroes + legends ❤ Ben Burnley, Adam Gontier, Corey Taylor, Chester bennington and Kurt Cobain they all are greatest of all time❤ I miss Kurt Cobain and Chester bennington.
I would walk a million miles just to get to him because he's so sweet and an amazing artist abd the song dear agony is that song that still makes me even after listening to it litterally 100,000,000 times
Just because they work hard doesn't mean that they write things for him. She asked how the SOUND has changed. And he said,"I write everything." Not do everything. We all give them credit for being awesome performers. It's just that he wrote most/all of the songs.

I also have a huge influence on Nirvana
I like it all
I love how alcohol was his main inspiration for the 1st 3 albums and I enjoyed him joking about how if he didn't like lyrics he'd just take a shot and be fine with it. It's great that he's gone sober but he wrote pretty awesome albums drunk too!
@tuckerskid96 I was aware, which is why the original statement exists. They're both related to death/unpredictable circumstances. You thought that I was belittling a certain aspect of the chosen one, which I wasn't.
Don't say that ! I believe he will return. He gotta. His fans need him and the band.
First album sober...well that explains Topless... not complaining though, I love that song xD
Dear Agony is the best album and he did it sober... See Ben, you don't need alcohol ;) you're beyond good when you're sober :)
❤️❤️ 🔥👁🔥
@tuckerskid96 The comment was really about smoking, which I didn't think an observer of the video would overlook. There was no joke involved.
I love Ben, but in this interview he didn't give any credit to the other band members! She said how have you evolved as a band, "Uh well its just me pretty much doing everything, so yeah ive evolved...etc." Yeah Ben does do the writing, main vocals, and guitar, but he cant play bass, drums, sing, and play guitar all at the same time. C'mon ben they work really hard too, give em some credit.
They actually interviewed benjamin 🤯🤯 no way
@VengeanceMusicTV ...why, i love him, he's awesome :P

ben, what nirvana was to you, is what you are to me :D
I miss BB. :' (
Ben, I fucking love you!#!32 BB- Best band evar!@# And btw- can anyone tell me if the whole fire thingy is real?
That's not the case at all. Yes he undeniably had the most input, but Aaron and Mark, especially in the albums 'We Are Not Alone' and 'Phobia' shared a great deal of songwriting with Ben. You're also forgetting that he would not be going anywhere without the rest of the members. He would be an acoustic act.
@vannagoesRAWR123 he was an alcoholic for like 10 years if im correct maybe more and he's got some health problems at the min thats the reason why they have not been on tour but this was his first record that he wrote sober.
I haven't checked up on BB's status in some time now, is Ben still sick or they just broken up is still the hold up? That's strange that he got sick after being sober long enough to make a full album, the drinking took some time to catch up with em.
Well, you know Chad wasn't the original drummer. Jeremy must of been the best in the area, like he said, until he was let go. But I'm glad he clarified, he is the sole writer of most of his songs.
I prefer BB over Nirvana. There I said it.
Its all ME ME ME!! Where would he be without the other band members! Don't get me wrong Breaking Benjamin are awesome!!!
