"When internationally celebrated violin virtuoso Alexander Markov was in Greenville recently, he was kind enough to sit down with Dr. Michael Weaver for a interview and share some insights on his approach to music, to practicing, the Paganini Concerto no.1, and his love for rock n’ roll.
You’ll get to hear Alexander demonstrate excerpts from the concerto, his electric gold violin, and how he came to love Led Zeppelin after growing up with classical music.
Dr. Weaver also had quite a few submitted questions from young string students across South Carolina. Since we couldn’t all be together (at the time of filming, COVID 19 safety procedures were in place), we felt that this was one of the best ways to bring Alexander to all of you.
