well jessi and 2am, both from 2nd generations. Jessi debut 2006 if I did not mistake, a year after suju. She debut under sm. That is why she was good with 2nd generation during the show.

The Korean K-pop world needs to respect second generation idols because they are still going hard today. I don’t think people understand how hard it is to be an idol or a K-Pop artist when you are in your late 20s or 30s

Newer fans don’t even know how happy this makes us who’s been into kpop since the 2nd Gen! 2AM’s “This Song” to me to this day is one of the most lyrically beautiful kpop ballad’s out there. “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die” will also always hit different!! So happy to see 2Am again!

One of the things that is special about 2nd generation idols is that they weren't that many then compared to next gen. There are more interactions between artists. There is also a friendly competition between active artists. I would pay a million bucks if a show is able to gather all 2nd generation idols. That will be chaos. I miss 2AM. I'm really glad they're coming back.

@@miriii_6066 i started during 2nd gen. It’s fun. They have different concepts from each other which is interesting. I’m more eager to learn other groups compared to today. I would say majority of the groups are really hilarious as well. There are more interactions in variety shows. I wouldn’t say it’s peaceful between fandoms though! It’s just different methods of fighting at present :))

@@gumworms5199 Same here! I became a kpop fan during the 2nd gen and I got to say I miss the idols and their interactions back then. Of course the current idols are talented and working hard but kpop used to be alot more fun back during the 2nd gen. Idols of the opposite gender pulled pranks on each other, hung out together and even appeared very friendly and close during broadcasts as well. There were scandals here and there but it wasn't as bad as it is now. I really want to see SHINee, SNSD, SuJu, Highlight, 2PM, 2PM and any other 2nd gen idols get together!! It would bring a whole new definition to the word chaos🤣😂

Lol Seulong and Jinwoon were non-stop smiling in fanmode. They had love in their eyes literally..

Let me emphasize this: Korean ballads are among the best. To see 2AM being able to make their comeback, I hope all IAM will keep on supporting them. I'm looking forward to their soothing, breathtaking songs soon. Let's go, 2AM!

I love seeing 2nd Gen Groups be free and genuinely having a good time. It seems like artists were more subdued back in the day due to keeping up their image. I would love to see more Ending Fairy poses in the future. They always make me laugh. 😂👍 Thanks for having them on the show!

I think all my favorite episodes were the ones with 2nd gen idols. Because she technically falls into the category, it’s fun to see how well she relates to everyone. I wonder when she’ll have jay park or 2PM on. That would be fun, but honestly, this episode, key’s episode and Minho’s episode are my top 3 and honorable mention to the highlight episode because the start of that was a fun chaotic mess.

ì was into kdramas & variety shows before I got into kpop so I'm familiar with gen 2 and started with gen 3 & love gen 4

This is just so refreshing to watch of them all together in one frame . Last time I watched them was Jo Kwon, Seulong and other 2pm members. Even after all their peer competitors form their own company like 2pm and Wonder Girls were so big during that time, they still manage to top the charts with consecutive wins as a ballad idol group. So proud to where they have come now!

It'd be cool if Jessi or MMTG or someone gathered active 2nd gen groups to do variety games like how they used to

The comeback of 2nd gen idols might not be as big or hype as the recent idols ones, but for certain fans, the opportunity to see the idols from their youth together again is too precious ☺️

We honestly need MORE 2nd gen groups here pleasee omggg. 2PM please hahahaha. And Jinwoon is still the same omg HAHAHAHAHA. Such a cutie patootie like before.

I really hope EXO comes to this interview but I think it will be very difficult. maybe just Kai or another solo member. SM is very restrictive allowing exo to come on verity show :)

Such a warm hearted interview. It has perfect balance of jokes and singing, and questions, and jessie's charismatic behavier. Even I, a complete foreigner, who basically knew only this band's name, felt so nostalgic... thank you

it's sad that young people nowdays don't know how great of a legend 2AM was ... their variety apperances were legendary as well ... dirty eyed girls was epic

Jinwoo as a maknea lol totally forgot about this 2AM, Shinee, Highlight....What an amazing episodes. We need more 2nd gen coming to this show. No one can beat 2nd ger. No one. Prove me wrong. They've been around for like 10 and more years they basically have no filter and Jessi also helps to bring out best and real them. Loving this and hoping to see more of 2ng gen artists here.

I love watching 2nd gen idols appear on shows because they were the generation that had the best variety skills. Also the ones who were able to be casually funny. A lot of the newer idols are too shy or tense. It just hits different with the "old school" idols. The vibes are amazing.

(as an aside, Kyuhyun, even tho known as "Drunkard Kyu", has in the past warned Onew to slow down on the drinking, and look what happened to him in 2017) There is a reason Jessi is the ace of "Sixth Sense" (almost 90% success rate in 2 seasons); if she doesn't like you that means you failed her vibe check (e.g. Jimin & SanE)

I love how 2am has this duality between signing extremely sad songs and being completely hilarious wherever they go.

Younger fans wont understand how much we love 2am. 2am is soo my generation. Seeing how we grow old together brings back lots of memories. I'm glad they are still happy together and healthy

Dirty Eyed Girls was the most iconic cover/parody in this era, so chaotic. Also, Seulong looks so cute in this interview omg

I really hope they can get 2PM on showterview one day, watching taecyeon scream out congratulations for them made my day and this episode with 2AM makes me realise how fun and chaotic 2nd gen groups continue to be!! 👏🏼

THEY BRING BACK A VERY GOOD MEMORY OF KPOP. 2ND GENERATION IDOLS ARE STILL THE BEST FOR ME. IT FEELS LIKE MEETING OLD FRIENDS AFTER A VERY LONG TIME (EVENTHO THEY ARE WAY OLDER THAN ME). I still remember when I was a junior high school student, I watched Dream High 2

i laughed so hard... this is why jessi is just so different-- when Changmin was complaining @11:32 about having the round mole on the side of his nose, not on top & jessi just telling him to stop whining & that the s*it that's out there of her is far worse than his was just so comical- so jessi. that's why her interviews are seriously the funniest....(they were like tom & jerry) and 2AM FI-GHTING! makes me teary eyed when they sang...

Yeah me too. Actually i don't really know about 2am before. I just know they're from like 2 company (jyp and bighit) and they're more to ballad. The member i only know are jokwon and seul ong and the only song i know is this song. But after watching their show with IU and jessi, i feel like i already know them for a long time. I also like their latest song. Sorry i wrote it too long. Hehehe.

Seulong is "the definition of perfection". Can't agree more 😍

these kind of interviews are so much more fun with 2nd generation idols because they have so much more tea too spill and you can re-live the good old times again. Also I feel like because they are older and been in the industry much longer they can talk waaay more freely about everything without any restitrictions or scripts from labels or anything.
