Magnifique document! Vraiment intérrésant de pouvoir écouter une interview inteligente. Pogorelich est un génie du romantisme, un artiste au vraie sens du terme ,une référence absolue pour nous tous !

Thank you very much. By any chance do you have the source recording without the French voiceover?

I re-visited the entire interview one more time, because it is interesting, and I have followed Ivo since he gave his first concert in Paris, but well, I think the translation was actually worked onto the interview afterwards. I give you that. Must have been tired the first time around.I called Radio Classique: they don't keep any archives over one year. What a pity... I would have volunteered to get the English-only version otherwise... mais tant pis! This is all we have! Bien a toi!

Une bonne fois pour toutes : est-ce qu'on peut arrêter avec ces critiques débiles sur Pogorelic ? Il a été dit tellement de bêtises sur lui ! Il n'est pas le seul pianiste merveilleux, mais il l'est ! Ils ne sont pas bien nombreux, ceux qui sont bien plus que joueurs de piano. "Dedicated man", la conscience, la sincérité, l'originalité authentique, c'est passionnant, enthousiasmant, ça fait beaucoup de bien. C'est vivant.

I believe that the translation was put afterwards since for example the word nuances was translated before he mentioned the phrase.

I am not certain, but considering this was done for a French radio station, they may have an original track, but it may be hard to find or obtain now. It was dubbed after the interview, for the French listeners.

LOL, that was funny, dear: I AM French, and I am a professional, multilingual interpreter, so I know the drill...

There is no way to dissociate the French translation, as I am sure it was translated simultaneously at the time of the interview at the radio station, so it can never be separated again...... too bad indeed! But it was intended for a French public, so that would make sense.....

Son Français est limité cependant, mais bien entendu, il comprend toutes les questions ... mais jamais son Anglais, le principal est la musique ... J'aime "l'interprète est avant tout un serviteur ...", mais malgré tout, "deeper..." a été mal traduit, j'aurais préféré ne pas entendre ce traducteur simultané et simplement l'entendre! La 32 ème sonate de Beethoven est bien connue pour sa difficulté, sa virtuosité et sa "nouveauté", ...
