We also have to understand telling our P.O.C. kids that possibly getting killed if pulled over not to fight the Law when stopped. Most people getting pulled over do not get more than a ticket if they follow the Officers commands. I've been stopped probably more than 100 times with warrants out against me or just speeding, but never gave the cops a reason to pull their gun and at 59 I'm still alive. We need to teach our kids to stop engaging cops when stopped. And my "Talk" with my interracial kids isn't about because they're P.O.C but about how not to react improperly when stopped. If Duante had let himself get arrested he would still be alive. And the Cop wouldn't have shot him. It's all Tragic but the offender has responsibilities he refused to follow also.

How about Walz having the stones to say it when sitting down for a one-on-one interview with local media that everyone in his state is going to see? Instead he stokes the fire of racism when it already boiling over.

I'd like to know if the Governor can make some kind of executive order to change the way policing is being done ( I realize this is not premiant but with multiple incidents the sooner the better)? I would also like to know if it's possible to take away the service pistol and replace it with rubber bullets, bean bags guns and/or taser weapons The way I see it with multiple officers on site they would be able to have more eyes on the situation to make better safer calls on what action should be taken even before getting out of the police car they should look up the plate number it could tell if the car is stolen, if the tags are out dated, who the owner of the car is. Something that is less lethally evasive. Another issue is we had a shooting here in Mankato a few years back where the officer didn't have backup he had enough time to use physical force, his taser I believe multiple times and ultimately his service pistol why wasn't backup called until the man was shot?

No. And no. I live in South Minneapolis. The police don't need rule changes as much as some of our citizens need to be law abiding and responsible. It's a partnership. I will NEVER be ok with disarming the police until the crime rate is near ZERO. How about going back to requiring officers to live in the area that they patrol? That stopped in Minneapolis around 1992 and this is the biggest mistake. Go back to residency rules first. Communities need to step up and start 'canceling' the criminal element in their midst. It's a start.

you dont see this kind of trouble in the rural parts of minnesota, maybe about half of the state population lives rural. from my viewpoint, living in rural minnesota is like a living in a different country compared to the metro. totally opposite work ethic, morals, community involvement. from my viewpoint: the solution is simple enough zero tolerance of violence and personal responsibility. this starts at home, in school, around the community in businesses and organizations. i used to go to the metro for the cultural scene and the activities and shopping/entertainment. rural america doesnt have the cultural choices, but what we have is top notch. school plays, high school athletics, community events like festivals and parades, the list goes on. riots? not so much, i dont even know anyone who wants to riot, or thinks rioting is an option. the metro solution needs to include identifying the bad actors, bring them to justice. set examples. that means prosecuting, trial, and conviction. this no bail/no prosecute idea isnt working!!!

What?!?!? It appears to me that black parents have little to worry about unless they have raised criminals who resist arrest. Am I missing something? The accidental shooting was neglect for sure and manslaughter has been charged, and Chauvin is being prosecuted, but get real. Almost every other case is justified response. What the f are they talking about that the response is because they are black! They fought the police who were representing the VICTIMS who expect their perpetrators to be arrested and face their crimes. What is happening in this world? It doesn’t happen all the time. This is false propaganda. It is INSANITY that the police are the bad guys, the victims of these criminals are irrelevant, and the criminals are glorified. I was flabbergasted by this interview. The Wild West is coming guys. You are in LaLa land portraying these guys as “innocently driving to a car wash”. You are being played. You will reap what you sow. Crime hikes they are a comin.
