Be true to yourself dear, if you added them in your ds260 and you said you not taking them then tell them you have but taking them at a later date ,add their birth certificates and tell them your not taking them . Always follow what's in your ds260. No one forces you to take your kids . You can always take them at a later date

They only ask are you married/ what's your martial status? Answer single or married. They don't go deep into questions

You have to have documents, Police office is a good work experience. You will present your training certificates and recommendations and the latter of good conduct
