This morning I thought back of the 11th of September, 2001, and how things have changed. On that day I remember poundering over if there were moslems in my country. I knew about one in my city. He married a 16 year old from my school btw, she went from "party girl" to a black clothed covered moslem with a bunch of arab kids, before she got a divorced and went back to partying, years later as an adult. Then I remembered how there were some in the capitol and thought to myself "what in the world were the politicians thinking?! Thank goodness there are not more of them!". It shocked me to learn that there were many residing in Germany, it frightened me, the consequences, the feeling of loosing control. Now, 20 years later, things have changed so much one would probably have problems believing the changes if one haven't lived it. I don"t know, it's surreal.

Edmund Burk "Reflections on the revolution in France" is amazing, such a genius. And apropos geniuses, Machavelli. Years ago, when my mind was still heavily poisoned by Marxism, I read "The Prince" and cried due to what I deemed as wickedness, but now I'm reading "Discourse" and his kindness, honesty, intelligence and wisdom bring tears to my eyes. When you read old books the beauty of the authors minds and persons they describe humbles you. Meanwhile today one is so often surrounded by an ironic, sarcastic, mocking tone and way of "communicating" which is as repulsive as it is destroying. It brings us nowhere but into a lower realm of existance and utter chaos.

There's a weird connexion between Communism and Islam that I haven't figured out. I wonder if Diana explores the relationship in her book, American Betrayal.
