Interstate Stone Sculpting Camp, Andhra Pradesh - Dravidian Bull Sculpture

Karnataka Shilpakala Academy conducted interstate stone sculpting camp at Dravidian University which is located in Kuppam city of Andhra Pradesh, India. Shilpakala Academy is a dedicated institute for art and sculpture. The main reason for this academy to be established is that in modern days with a busy life, all humans are leading a nomadic life, and there is no time to observe nature's beauty. Shilpakala started to choose and pick the most skilful and trained sculptors or artists to show their best work on the present status to change the trend.
Dravidian Bull is a symbol of strength and agility from the ancient times of the Dravidian culture. It is compared to the recent incident about Jallikattu. Jallikattu is typically practiced in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu as a part of Pongal celebrations on Mattu Pongal day, which occurs annually in the month of January.
