This driving, continuous tempo exists in all my favorite Interpol songs. Similar to Roland and Slow Hands.
the entire bridge section pumps me full of serotonin everytime i hear it
4:52 Interpol became immortal
This will go down as their best performance of PDA.
They played this when I saw them in Albany as their encore, probably around 2007. It was a weird long summer and this was perfect closure. I can die happy having seen this in person.
I have always loved this song. EVERYTHING from start to end is flawless! Wish I was there...
This has to be the best recorded live performance of this song
Seeing the drummer come back to the kit at the end with a stag in his mouth is about the most badass thing ever. Amazing song
No other kit played by Sam sounds as good as his Yamaha. I’ve never heard such an awesome sound from any of his present day C&C kits or Ludwig.
Greatest song of all time
This is one of a few bands that restores some faith in me that alternative music is not dead yet, great group of youngsters.

They've been around since 1999 and Defo not in their prime now, this is from 2005
Uno de mis grupos favoritos de post punk e indie rock! Esta canción, es una obra de arte. Sigo a éste grupo desde el año 2008, 2019 y sigue presente en mi playlist!!! Genial lml

Late answer but during the outro, he had time to light one and come back in like that lol 😂 badass
If only they could have made the rest of the song as good as that outro...or stretched it out somehow. Or maybe the rest just makes the outro so much rewarding when it does come...but then again, I don't think I've listened to the whole song in years, yet I have listened to the outro hundreds of times. I stand by my initial sentiments
I had the pleasure of watched them. it was amazing
Best band ever to come out in a while this song was a lifestyle 💯🔥🔥
We have two hundred couches!

Yours is the only version of my desertion that I could ever subscribe to That is all that I can do You are a past dinner, the last winner, I'm raking all around me Until the last drop is behind you You're so cute when you're frustrated, dear Well, you're so cute when you're sedated, dear I'm resting Sleep tight, grim rite We have two hundred couches where you can sleep tight, grim rite We have two hundred couches where you can sleep tight, grim rite We have two hundred couches where you can sleep tonight Sleep tonight, sleep tonight Sleep tonight You are the only person who's completely certain there's nothing here to be into That is all that you can do You are a past sinner, the last winner and everything we've come to It makes you, you You cannot safely say while I will be away That you will not consider sadly How you helped me to stray You will not reach me I am Resenting a position that's fast resentment And now I can consider now there is this distance so Sleep tight, grim rite We have two hundred couches where you can sleep tight, grim rite We have two hundred couches where you can sleep tight, grim rite We have two hundred couches where you can sleep tonight Sleep tonight, sleep tonight Sleep tonight Something to say Something to do Nothing to say When there's nothing to do (ah, ah)
Amazing song! ! ! Amazing performance! ! !
This is a perfect thing to see if you want to understand why any of us ever started our own band.

That line isso simple, but yet so fuckin expressive: I also learned on the bass the chords that the guitard plays, but it's not as beautiful as the bass line

it's cause Carlos wrote the bass-lines, now that he's not around, the bass-lines aren't as.. great I suppose, still very good though.
