I totally agree with you Penny because at the end of the day it's a BABY 🍼 it doesn't matter about the SKIN COLOR..BOY,GIRL & or ECT. I'm STARTING to REALIZE that more and more now because I myself have a BIRACIAL son who is my RAINBOW 🌈 BABY ♂️ BUT THE SAD PART IS it's so MANY EVIL people in this WORLD!!& The ONLY THING THEY SEE IS(COLOR)!! In my opinion there is no such thing as BLACK 🖤 OR WHITE ‼️ 🤍 BECAUSE at the end of the day we all are HUMAN BEING and we all BLEED the same COLOR WHICH IS 🤝 🩸 (R.E.D) as long as that BABY is HAPPY & HEALTHY & 😍 LOVED that's all that MATTERS!

Absolutely because the ignorance on that fact is enormous most people always assume negative the moment they hear anyone has given a child up for adoption. When there are numerous reasons and it doesn't really matter to me especially when the child will at least get a chance at life with someone who does want children.
Ashley you're making great open decisions. No lies. No apologies You will survive.

Love has a color . N every color is supposed to love its own . Esau shouldnt be raising Jacob . Foh
I think this entire situation was divinely orchestrated. There’s no doubt how much love exists between Steven, Ashley, and MaKayla and they are meant to be in each other’s lives exactly as they are. No more and no less. Ashley got to learn that she doesn’t have to carry a baby to be a mother, and now that she’s pregnant, she gets to experience both sides of motherhood…that’s beautiful, and really special. MaKayla gets to be TT and watch Abriel become a big brother without the additional emotional/physical aspect of giving birth… i think this has all worked out for the betterment of everyone involved.
Oh and I had another comment. The father son bond that Stephen and abriel has is so beautiful to watch. This man is so in love with his son and his son is so in love with his dad. They couldn't be any closer than if he was their biological son. Their relationship is so beautiful to watch. I just love it❤❤❤❤
I think that what they're doing is right. My older brother was adopted. My parents never told him because they did not want him to feel different than the other kids. He found out through the grapevine, & spiralled out of control. He's now deceased. The rejection was just to great, and the fact that my family lied to keep it hidden, trying to "Protect" him, just made him all the more angry. In the end always tell the truth....It's easier to remember. Telling lies leads to turmoil.

I love how understanding and nurturing this couple is towards the birth mother considering she gave up legal rights, she’s a grown adult with 3 children already so they really help her out
I love that they were honest with him from the jump. It hurts more later when you feel you were lied to your whole life. When he's an adult he can choose what to call her but children deserve the truth also.
@claire5399

As a adult adoptee I agree .
So many adopted children are kept in the dark about their adoption and the effects are astronomical. My grandmothers best friend was given one of the dna test kits like 23 and me a few years back and at 74 years old she found out through that test that her mom and dad were not her biological parents. Her parents bio and adopted are all dead. All her siblings were later confirmed to be the biological children of the adopted parents. I mean the impact it had was huge. One day she’s the oldest of 9 siblings and within a month she learns she has no biological family. It’s heart wrenching. So the fact that McKayla is so involved is beautiful and I love the special friendship that they’ve created. McKayla is such an amazing woman and mother. I mean she’s so beautiful and selfless.
When he said given up out of Love not because he wasn’t wanted I got choked up 🥺🥹
I think sometimes the adults are the ones that complicate things. This little boy was adopted by a set of parents who loves him, and I bloody well wish that every little girl or boy out in the world caught up in a bad, and unsafe environment would have a better chance of life with parents like these. God bless them, they’re trying to do the right thing all round.
They're the perfect couple to adopt. I love this dynamic ❤
I adopted my daughter from birth. I did an open adoption. I believe that every child should know where they came from. I got her as a newborn. She will be 22 next month. I taught her to call them big mama and big daddy.. out of respect. So I completely understand all of them !!!!
My black cousin and his wife adopted 5 black brothers to keep them together. Right now the two oldest are in college. The rest are in high school. My black single female best friend who couldn’t get pregnant adopted two black boys and raised them from babies. They’re both teens now doing very well. I wish more people would adopt children of all races.
I really appreciate this man’s way of questioning. Appropriate but he gets right to the root of the issue instead of dancing around anything. He’s direct, but in a way to make sure he’s still being careful with the scenario.
Love doesn't see colors.❤❤❤
We stand firmly behind Abriel's parents. They have done an outstanding job on raising a wonderful young boy to date. I'm so grateful to God for adding a new arrival to their troop ❤

I agree. As a black woman I had wondered why they adopted a black child not with hate but curiosity. Then I want he'd their channel and grew so fond of the and baby Abriel. I don't think anyone would love that child more than his adoptive parents. They have made me consider adoption.
I remember i even commented how He looks like his Adopted Mom, when they both smile❤❤❤❤
Karamo is making it more difficult than it really has to be. There are "step" families that have similar dynamics.
Honesty in adoption is never confusing. Dishonesty and omission is confusing. My mom has my son and he is 8 now and just found out I'm his birth mom and not his sister. That's confusing. Knowing from the beginning makes it just what it is and confusion is rarely an issue. My husband is also adopted and is very thankful his parents never told him anything other than the truth.
I just want to say that my girls called my mom "mom" because that's what I called her. It was never an issue or confusing. That relationship between mother (Ashley) and child is something so special as well as what his has with his birth mom. It's just different. I love how Ashley isn't threatened by that. It's because her love for her child is pure and selfless. I support this family and the decisions they are making for him. I can't wait to see how easily this 2nd baby comes into this family. It's a beautiful story ❤
This is the first time I'm not on the same page with Karamo. When you're growing up in that situation, you don't find it confusing until you're much older and by that time you can understand better. The important thing is that the children are surrounded by love. The same situation without care and love would be catastrophic but that's not the case in this instance.
Some people “get off” on misery for/towards others. This couple and many others are only doing what some are scared to do-love out loud❤
And now she just had her baby girl so exciting ❤
I Completely Agree With The Baby Calling The Bio Mother Momma Kayla It's The Healthy Connection They ALL Need
As a black mother, I get why people would wonder and may "raise an eyebrow" when a white couple adopts a black child ( I've seen many individuals foster/adopt children for HORRIBLE reasons; therefore, white guilt isn't so far-fetched). ***HOWEVER*** the care and thought this child's adopted parents made to ensure this child is connected to his culture is nothing but wonderful and shows their true love for their baby. It is such a blessing this child has such a family filled with so much love and selflessness.

The adopted mom resembles that child as if she gave birth
There are so open minded and have good intentions. Main concern is the mental well bing of the child.
The way they are raising that little boy,he is well mannered. I don't see him resenting them in the future. I watched a video where the mom instructed him not to eat the candies and he did even when the other kid beside him was.
All I see and hear is love bonded together for the sake of a child awesome

This is such a complex and nuanced situation. I feel for the birth mother very much and i admire the adoptive parents. At some point lines are going to have to be set or they could create a lot of confusion for the child in effort of trying to be overly thoughtful. This is so tough because i know everyones heart is in great placem
I follow them on KZread, they love that little boy and thats all that matters! They're great parents!
I follow this beautiful family on KZread, and see nothing but pure LOVE!!! This little boy is well-adjusted, healthy, and HAPPY!!! I absolutely adore them!!
The fact she's concerned about her son thinking she loves the baby she carries more is all you need to hear. It shows her pure mothering heart & the love she has for her son!!❤❤❤ Many mothers that don't have trouble conceiving and carrying children worry about how their 1st child will feel when they have their second child or how they'll feel about the second. They aren't denying him the truth and most of all they're giving him unconditional love that's all that matters.❤❤❤ They shouldn't receive any hate for loving a child or wanting a baby of their own.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE WAY ASHLEY AND STEVE DOES THINGS WITH BEING HONEST WITH THEIR BABY AND SHARING HIM WITH HIS BIOLOGICAL MOTHER AND I BELIEVE ASHLEY IS A SECURE WOMAN AND THATS WHY SHE IS UNBOTHERED. BECAUSE SHE KNOWS AS LONG AS SHE LOVES AB HE WILL LOVE SHARE THAT LOVE BACK
My daughter was adopted & it’s closed. But I still get photos, I talk to her & she calls me Mama ‘my name’. If I could go back I would want to change it but mostly for selfish reasons! I adopted two of my nephews and I have never lied to them about who I am or kept them away from birth parents. When they grow up knowing the truth it’s not confusing for them….it will be their life any the only thing they know and because nobody has lied to them there will be no surprises and questions about who they are or who they came from.

I so agree with the Mama Makayla As a young man he won't be confused that he has two moms who get along 😊
Great advice! Im happy to see, they are preparing for their biological child. Also, Mama Makelia is very attached and I agree her feelings are still very raw.. She definitely shouldn't be carrying another child for the family. I love them on social media and I wish them the best of luck and love with their soon to be new baby and extended family❤🙏
I love all of them. Ashley and Steven are great parents, and Makayla is a beautiful person. I love their family dynamic.
I think everyone needs to let them do what is best for their family. It works for them and that is all that matters. I think it is great because their son will never question his background. He will grow up aware and won't have the major breakdown that most adopted kids have once they find out that they are adopted.
I know that she may have been very nervous and misspoke but I think with her saying she writes him letters every year about what he's missing out on maybe very hurtful to him in the future because although she has a reason for giving him up he will always wonder why she kept her older kids. I understand life and things happen but this is very much a delicate situation. I can tell she is still hurting with her decision and I pray she finds peace. The adoptive parents are a blessing and doing what they think is best. I can tell they want to keep the lines of communication open with the birth mom and thats wonderful but there has to be some boundaries (I dont think the birth mom is doing it intentionally she is just still torn). However one thing for sure is that the young man has a village of love around him and thats what needs to be the focus. 💕
I am adopted. It's complicated but you are his mother. I totally agree with the host. I was an open adoption in 1960. Very rare. My parents always told me I was adopted. My birth mother is awesome and she truly loved me, but she is my biological mother not my mother. I met my birthmother when I was 13 and then 32 and the at 45. We have developed a friendship but not a paternal relationship. I am grateful for her selfless sacrifice. Eva s you are the parents not the birthmother.

@@jackiedelvalle yesss awww I just saw it how precious for them!
This is such a wonderful family. I love them
Karamo, you are a gift to this world! Ashley, I love you, your decisions, and pray for you to have fulfillment. I have 4 adopted girls from the same mom and 1 from different mom, and I've never regretted that decision... I'm an adopted child myself... I wish I could talk with you... please ignore negativity and stay focused.❤
Love watching them and the love they have for that little boy is out of this world!. So happy she is pregnant.
I started following them on YT but didn't know their story. It's nice they got to shut the haters down. Happy for them ❤
I have a brother and sister who’s adopted , they know their birth mom and my mom as well allows them to call her mom BUT she didn’t tell them too she allowed them to make the choice once they got old enough to know the situation, I personally see no wrong in it , and I salute mom for allowing his birth mom to still be a part of his life .. way to go mom ❤
I am African, from Zimbabwe. In our culture, your mother's sisters are your mums too. We literally call them mum. You might think this is confusing but trust me children know. Children understand more than you think they do. I appreciate they let her be involved it will be beneficial to him when he is older and easier for him to make sense of things.
Loving the open, honest, and understandimg conversation happening here ... Its amazing to see theres anither way to make it work for everyone involved if possible ☺️☺️☺️ so heartwarming
