As long as there's movement muscles are being used, but the question is: how are you using them? It's a matter of very subtle and efficient coordination where almost every single muscle of the body triggers amplifying force while at the same time you feel your opponent's structure and find the weak link

So you are using resting tendons and body weight but zero muscle flex to move his body? I can imagine what "internal power" is but im still not exactly sure.

The next video I’ll post shows the actual exercise to practice this. It might make more sense after that. It’s all from a 24 minute class he gave on patreon.

In my experience you will only know once you got a glimpse of internal within yourself.. before you have it you will not believe and think they must still use external. Once you experience the expension from dantien you realize its very different from everything you felt befoe.. THAT is the start and you will believe from now on.

@@smithystube Ive felt it slightly but cant channel it into my arms and use it against my enemy.. But Ive realized when jocking for the same standing purchase the guy who relaxes all muscles and simply drops his weight ends up knocking the guy who is using muscle to shove backwards.

You just saw the movement of the arm, but didn't see the subtle movement of the rest of the body. This is a coordinated, integrated way of moving, not merely pulling the elbow. Qi is vital energy that all living beings have. We all use qi when we move or even breathe. The question is how are you directing it to be more efficient and powerful. Does it expand filling and moving your whole body or is your awareness only focused on a single body part transferring only a limited amount of your energy while wasting the rest in compensating your lack of structural integrity?
