Hi guys welcome to my channel, my name is Doc Rome, I am a Urologist in the Philippines and I do vlogs all about medicine and my life as a doctor.
Welcome, this is the 2nd episode of our podcast where we talk about everything in medicine from premed to the medical specialties.
For the 2nd episode of our podcast, I am very excited because of we our gonna talk about one of your favourite medical specialty which is internal medicine.
Our guest for today is Dra Marga Laconico, a friend of mine, also a previous PGI from our hospital, and a graduate of IM at St. Lukes Global Taguig. We will talk about everything you need to know about Internal Medicine as a specialty program in the Philippines.

I will apply residency this year! Super toxic ng IM but for some reason I like the toxicity chareet haha treating your patients and seeing them recover talaga makes all the pagod worth it, nakakataba ng puso. I can only see myself as an internist and maybe soon nephro or endoc. Thank you doctors!

Good evening ask klng doc , ano bo ba gamot sa mababang cbc mababa kasi ang white blood cell ng husband ko. Our doctor recommend to my husband to look a internal medicine doc.

Doc.good evening po,may tanong lang po ako yong kinakasama ng mama ko na operahan kasi nasaksak sya mahaba ang opera nya mula sikmura hanggang pusod ngayon sumasakit ang tiyan nya palagi syang kinakabagan para daw puno sya ng hangin matigas tiyan nya parang lumalaki kung nakatagilid daw sya matulog pakiramdam daw nya ang bituka nya nababa sa gilid kung nakatihaya hindi daw sya makahinga doc.humingi ako ng payo kung ano ang gagawin nya.salamat doc. ...

Pinanood ko ulit... Critical Care Medicine po sana next time. Para ma clarify din po pag kakaiba ng training path ng cardiac ICU, pulmo ICU, Neuro ICU, pedia ICU, neonatal ICU... at ng pure critical care medicine - ano po yung scope of practice?

sa Saudi seperate na ang Critical Care Medicine Department sila humahawak ng General icu, respiratory icu, neuro icu, surgical icu, emergency department icu at Mobile Icu na naghandle ng critical patient sa ward na least priority na makapasok sa icu or to risky sa patient transfer at mga icu referrals usually icu nurse at icu respiratory therapist naghandle as per icu charge nurse at charge rt decision.
Anu po pinag kaiba ng internal medicine at specialist??

Hi Doc Rome, Is there a way po ba to connect with Dr. Marga or any IM po. I'm an ECE student from TIP-QC and my team is currently conducting study in minimizing ECG artifacts.
