In June careless campers left their fire unattended sparking what would become the 2024 Interlaken Fire. Ultimately the fire would require hundreds of firefighters as well as equipment ranging from planes and helicopters and even boats that were used to shuttle firefighters across Twin Lakes to access the fire.
