Using the car driving as an example .... Isn't the sum of the interior angles always 360 also? I mean the car ends up 360 degrees in the same direction. Confused

I know that it's been years since you posted this, but from a kid stuck in quarantine with no teachers or students around to help, thank you very much. Our teachers aren't able to keep up with the influx of questions from students and they can only get to whoever they have time for. To find the interio angle for regular polygons you do the number of side minus 2 multiply by 180

That will give you the SUM of the interior angles. Then you can find one by dividing by the # of them (IF the polygon is regular). I prefer to find an exterior angle and then take the supplement. Faster and the numbers are smaller.

I liked the explanation of sum of interior angles of a polygon is (n-2)*180 degree by creating n-2 triangles. However, there is another approach to prove it. In this approach, we create n triangles by connecting some point within polygon with each vertex.

Oh sure- that’s also a nice way to prove the relationship- in fact, I touch upon a more general case of that proof at about minute 5 when I add an “extra” line and looked at how it still revolves to the same relationship. I love how you can use multiple pathways to arrive at the same conclusion. Thanks for watching 😀
