Hi! First of, nice reaction! To answer your question, Hatsune Miku is a digital voicebank, not an A.I. she's a voice program artist use for vocals for their music. If you're thinking of getting more into Vocaloid, there's tons of playlists on KZread you can find! I'd also personally recommend the Project DIVA games if you're into rhythm games. There's also the Unofficial Hatsune Mix, which is a manga that depicts Miku and the other vocaloids in many different ways. Its an amazing trip!

The Beauty of Miku Hatsune is she is a character created and developed by the fans for the fans. The company that owns the software lets fans make music with her voice and if the songs get popular enough the people who make the songs can make money from the songs featured in concerts and video games and more. So while her character is an AI Android she is actually a software program anyone can get and make music with along with the other vocaloids.

I will warn you though, Miku doesn’t exactly have a “canon” personality, her persona can change based on the preference of the song writer or the song that she is singing. That means she can go from sweet and adorable (popipo) to rude and needy (world is mine) to UTTERLY TRAUMATED (Aishite) to somber and calm (picon’s “reborn”) and even an unpredictable genre (kara kara no kara or matryoshka). And that’s only the tip of the iceberg, there’s tons more Miku’s out there. The point I’m trying to make is, don’t expect Miku to be cute and adorable for every song the features her, consider her an actor playing a different role everytime.
