Though comparing different chip manufacturers like Intel or TSMC in regards to the names of their nodes doesnt really make sense since the naming is too arbitrary. But when looking at only one manufacturer you can really see the difference like between Intel 14 and 10nm. For example the last gen on gpus was made by TSMC 7nm for AMD and Samsung 8nm for Nvidia. Just based on the naming you wouldnt expect a huge difference but the samsung node is considerably worse on almost all regards. Also the big/little architecture isnt really more advanced and there are good reasons for and against it. The biggest pro would be content creation since you can have 4 ecores for the space of 1 full core with 4 e cores doing more work in that regard. The biggest con would be gaming where e cores cant be used at all. They also dont really help with energy consumption. It's true that in terms of temperature AMD is the winner, but with another type of laptop such as the Victus or the Omen with a decent cooling the core i7 doesn't seem to heat up at least after 1 month of use either for classical tasks or while playing. That said I am a bit disappointed by the power consumption which seems exaggerated, I saw in another comparison that the battery life decreases by half with a core i7 compared to an AMD Ryzen 7.

Yes if you use it on battery a lot then the more consumption of the battery, the more discharge/charge cycles the quicker the battery dies. If an intel eats more power from the battery it will discharge faster. I almost always keep my (Intel) laptop powered in an outlet and with the battery set to 80% charged. If I know i have to go somewhere I set it to change to 100%. That way I protect the battery and it lasts for years. I have another i3 from 2016 and it has a good battery. My last i7 (8th gen) battery died out last year and I didn't want to spend 100 euros on a battery so I bought another 13th gen i7. With the last i7 i didn't do the x% charge so that's why the battery died out after around 3+ years.

I think the reputation intel has made is its strength. In fact intel machines are powerful and efficient but sometimes it doesn't hurt to not let intiution win
Tell me about HP Laptop 14-EM0001NE,AMD Ryzen 3,8GB RAM,256GB SSD,AMD Radeon
Should also use video editing benchmarks, like Puget.
Hi. For use with photoshop, lightroom and some game (god of war,...), between these two laptops what is the best choice? 1) LENOVO Ideapad Pro 5i Intel i5 13500h, lppdr 16gb 5200hz, rtx 3050 6gb or 2) LENOVO Ideapad Pro 5 AMD Ryzen 5 7640hs, lppdrx 16gb 6400hz, rtx 3050 6gb ?
Between amd 7735u and intel i5 1340p which one is best for ui ux designing
First of all, this is a nice review and am convinced its un-biased. I spend most of my time on the laptop and i dont have the luxury of being in air conditioned environments, power consumption and battery life mean a lot to me. In this day and age, i am going to the AMD
For me it’s just as important for user experience than just price and speed. If you like to game a lot like most of us do you don’t want the machine to get hot. Being born in the 90s were used to machines that got hot. I’m old school will always pick amd or intel.

Thr power consumption itself is everything. The performance difference is minimal. I can't use a more powerful cpu with the battery gone.

im still looking for amds cpu as much c/p value for both gaming and work. I rather use egpu than onboard one so I hv to have usb4 built-in🤦♀️
great video! one moment missing: battery life. in similar scenarios intel powered laptops will be dead while AMD powered will have 50%. I'm not talking about gaming from battery, just regular UX

@@kieranlee9610 Intel's processor nodes are 10-13nm while AMD's are 4-6nm. Hence Ryzen is way more power efficient. And intel had to increase it's TDP in order to beat ryzen in performance, which in turn requires more colling and even more power draw to do so

A meaningless comparison if the Intel CPU has more cores and the results will not be fair. Even so, considering that AMD almost matched Intel, added to its extras like low power, etc. I wouldn’t hesitate a second to go for the model with AMD.

Not shocked i7 better performance speed
AMD for it's battery life

@@nivea878 If you use the 7900X with its stock settings, then it will instantly reach 95°C and its performance would be limited by the cooler. It 100% needs undervolting in order to prevent overheating. If you want a 7000 series AMD CPU to use with stock settings, then it has to be a non-X one. For example, 7900 feels just like an undervolted 7900X.
