Intel Arrowlake Details and ASRock "Unnamed" Intel Motherboards

Let's take a look at the new arrowlake (desktop consumer) socket 1851 Z890 to be released in Q4 2024. Still no details on the node being used for this, however it will be featuring a new P core and E core architecture. Though the motherboards ASRock has ready for this is never disappointing, so let's take a look.

I never understood why asrock does that on a lot of their motherboards. Usually built in wifi is all contained up near the rear IO in some kind of module. Having the wires running down the side of the board is kind of weird. It does make it easier to upgrade to faster wifi down the line at least

on chart arl 14% ipc gain while 12% more power efficient than mtrl. thats mean is comparing with laptop mtrl chip that already on 4 process. i guess with intel 20a / tsmc n3b on arl will make big jump in efficiency on dekstop cpu, because it compare with old 7 nodes on rtl.

ASRock is probably my favorite mobo manufacturer right up there with EVGA. Hoping they put out a good Z890 Micro ATX board. I just bought a MATX case, Antec Dark Cube for a future gaming build to use in my semi truck. Was thinking of getting a newer laptop, I currently have the Alienware Area 51m R1/w 9700k & 2080. But I decided I wanna try a MATX or ITX build instead. I may also try out Battlemage, all depending. I've always used Nvidia, but anymore I'm kinda getting tired of the whole AI trope and the massive performance gap between the xx90 and everything else they put out.. Really got my fingers crossed that team blue can "flip the table."

It seems like the used train ride in a rainy season gets even the mighty, mr. Yes. In all seriousness, traveller illnesses are common, the body is not adjusted to pathogens in foreign lands (I've been thru this rodeo), all I recommend is an over the counter expectorant for the voice (maybe a painkiller too if you feel like it to rest easier), eating plenty and resting well. Get well, bro! In matters of health, the more you buy, the more you save, there's no subject more important, take that, Jensen!

Result of "The Master of Zen", architecture that is.. having spent 2 year's working at Intel, coming from Tesla and previously AMD, where he was pivotal in the creation of AMD Zen Architechute. Its interesting what people have to endure in life, like selling their soul for beer vouchers, to end up saluting AMDs demise in 15th Generation Intel - Arrow Lake / Luna Lake / Panther Lake (taking a sauna soaked in digital blasphemy of naming conventions).. still no threads, no dreads! They are going to need a huge ipc boost if they get rid of hyper threading cause shutting it off on a 14900k is about 15% less perf then with it on in a full multicore work load. They are still going with 8p and 16e so to make up the lack of hyper-threading there will be big gains needed somewhere to surpass the 14900k

There are a couple of concerns with Intel's radical refom: compatibility. No hyperthreading, wha?? K, I just don't want to be an early adopter because of potential incompatibilities with my older games, I'm content with my 11900K, no pesky e-cores causing bugs. It's not going to last forever, but by then I will have to analyze who's gaming friendlier, has less latency as a bonus, etc, if it is AMD or Intel, if this move by Intel pans out as victory, great, looking forward to team blue, if it is a lemon, a couple years from now AMD will be my upgrade.

It depends, I hope they do, if they gonna push 300W again of course it won’t work. If they don’t and still get good performance it will. The real question is will this be enough? Will they have platform support for more than 2 generations, will they have comparable price to performance and will the mutlithreading performance still hold up? I sure hope so, I always want competition, but I’m definitely not sure
