This actually went pretty well, your comments were not convincing self defeating in parts. :D... You could have used that metal tape for little filter. Aluminium I think.

I recommend a throttle body spacer, upgraded spark plugs. Castrol gtx oil change with k&n oil filter and lightweight pullies if you can find some, upgrade your exhaust to decrease backpressure and a header if you can find one, all that wil increase hp by another 10-18 hp and sound better

you need to put that oil filter onto your filter mate.. That's why it's included :)

I bought a cheap cold air intake and it didn't come with breather hose filter do you remember what the size of it is. Got a 00 beetle

Wrong you need oil on those air filters

I'm curious, in your maf sensor part, can those metal pieces be removed to let more air in, looks kind of restrictive. unless if it causes rough idle then never mind, good vid bro

And those bolts are one time use torque to yeild bolts in an aluminum bracket.

Yes, very good investment. Helps the turbo breath and as well sounds cool as well! Also it does increase your throttle response enough to recognize it. Very good investment in my opinion

Did this cause any check engine lights to come on? I've heard it can be the result of a cold-air intake install on some cars

you can also use dry filters so the oil doesn't mess up the maf sensor, most of it is just more cleaning of the maf sensor like once a month just to be safe and kept clean for accurate air to fuel ratio, I also have the k&n 57i series intake in my 06 corolla

Your intake temperatures will be high making your car burn more fuel. Your better off with the stock air filter where the ducting draws colder air.

So I did almost the exact thing on my 04 tdi 1.9L held up pretty good no problems so far been 2 months
