Teams should either have high travel miles or a large rest disadvantage. Dealing with both in the same year is like a double whammy.

I feel there is a good chance the run defence is much better this year. I don't think that Linebacker & interior d'line were the problem areas with the run, I think it was the edge opposite Bosa & Safety & 3rd Corner play all of which we have upgraded this off season.

11-6 sounds about right, especially with the way we got f’d over playing tough teams after their byes.

Larry is totally right. The run D was mid at best last year. And yeah it’s a major concern heading into this season after losing Armstead and Greenlaw and replacing them with the likes of Jordan Elliot and Devondre Campbell.

Great point Larry. I agree, we did not look “good” after that Ravens game. We barely won the those playoff games. I hope they fix that this year.

I think sitting Purdy in week 18 and letting him have effectively 3 weeks rest was a bigger factor in the post season struggles than what happened in the Ravens game.

I think the 9ers played 6 Teams off the Bye last Year. Lions game could be for Home Field advantage in the Playoffs. Staley: Wilks had to adapt to the 9ers D.

I was see brown improve on his angles. That was a concern for me when drafted him and it was real, he takes bad angles alot of the time I wouldn't feel comfortable with him in a huf role without some improvement there I'd rather see him playing deep like Gipson still has to come up for the run but hopefully with that extra space it isn't as noticeable or helps him.

Yeah it definitely looks easier than last years schedule but we'll see. The Buffalo game also seems like a loss because of the time of year and the get a bye week before. Time will tell though.

The only good thing about the schedule is the 3 opponents supposedly based on "strength of schedule" are pretty easy, which will help win the division.
