There are two kinds of people, those who are here to see an excellent chef cooking in a new ways and those who are here to spot and mention mistakes in the brand names, lol.
So on the steak - probably pre-heat the oven to full temp and you'll get the searing effect. Judging from the chicken. For the fries - use way more oil to seal in the moisture, and more fries in the basket as it's really the air that's drying them out. Both those steps will make moist fries with a crust.
Negative from the beginning, I brought one anyway and love it.

@@aliceElle257 it is a review. You have to be critical to do an honest review. Funny how when a male reviewer gets critical of a product people will say "im glad you're so honest" but when its a woman....
For dehydrating you can use shelves and have them covered with slatted trays. For broiling a steak, you just need to pre-heat and then it would be ok. And for the potatoes, you actually could fit more in there. There just needs to be enough space for them to move around. I appreciate the video but I felt like the tester should be going in more neutral to the product rather than going in with the idea that it's not going to be working that well. And if there are things you don't like about it during the test, try seeing if there are simple ways to get what you want, rather than just writing it off as not good at that feature.

Oh I just got one of these to replace my air fryer and I really like this one as it’s so much easier to clean and I’m loving the oven light to keep an eye on the food. It does work as a dehydrator but it really needs to be as far away as possible to the fan or the food will fly around. I didn’t experience any burning. Will roast veggies in 8 mins

Exactly to BOTH of these comments. She read the instructions about not preheating for the basket... I guess it says that honestly I havent used basket yet so havent botherd reading about it. I'm sure she does great on most gadgets but feel like she didn't click with how to use this thing. I got mine last week and am loving it. Also have not put a tray on top for anything, the apple chips had me cracking up lol. They may be a special case so not sure how I would make them though, but both trays on bottom for sure. You have to turn the pan upside down to sear the steak when broiling. It gets it closer to the element. Also, the size of the servings isn't an issue when you're cooking for one and don't want to heat up the whole house.
6:09 That incredulous laugh tho 🤣
This would be great for a studio apartment that has no ovean though. The small size would actually be helpful for space saving and if it's only for one person then it should be fine. I love it!
@recoil53
5 жыл бұрын
It's obviously sized for 1 or 2 people, so I don't think capacity is a real issue. I've never seen a large air fryer, so the "fries for one" isn't a real complaint. If you're the type that dehydrates a lot of fruit, you'd get a specialty device. If you just don't want to heat up an oven, especially in the summer and want better chicken than a toaster oven would give you, this is perfect.

I have a very similar air fryer in design and function, and I've done many beef and pork ribs using the rotisserie and they've come out just as juicy as your chicken. Roasts are my favourite use of the air fryer. I've tried a few steaks but coated them in oil and they've cooked crusty.

What air dryer are you referring to I'm trying to find a good rotisere
I made chicken thighs n bake function Turned them once. Lots seasoning and turned out great
Sounds like it would roast coffee perfectly. Hmmm. Chicken and coffee in same gadget. Mix of flavors ?

Maxing out at 400F you can only get light roast out of it. A bigger problem would be that coffee smokes a lot when roasted and I'm not sure trapping the smoke with the coffee is too good.
Like your reviews..you're brutally honest, accurate, and most importantly, has hands on experience..you've used the products in your restaurant.. thanks..new subscriber..
How easy is it to clean afterwards?
Please review the emeril power air fryer vs the Breville mini smart over!
I have this unit and I air fry my steaks and they turn out beautiful!! Seared and juicy. The rotisary works great for pork roast or prime rib too.

I assume you pre-heat. She puts it in cold. It's like putting french fries in cold fryer oil and expecting them to turn out properly.

I have one also, and this machine is a beast. I get what she’s trying to do, review it as what regular people would try to use it as. However, we love ours and I simply don’t agree with the review.
I just love Esther Choi so much.
how long will you dehydrate Jerky in your Oven?? Insta Pot Plus will do it in 5hrs with no Heat coming out in Kitchen when its 90 outside
Fresh cut fries have to be blanched. Even when frying in oil it should hit some water for some time before preparing.
I would like to see the ninja version of this.
