The laser level is a great idea but no mention of getting the bus level and keeping it level I have 4 slide on camper supports I put under my back bumper and front bull bar to get and keep it level. I have done 6 showers now for myself and others with fiberglass and gelcoat the oldest is 10 years old and no leaks, joins or mold and it is light and strengthens the enclosure, you can use fillets in the corners and fiberglass it all the way to the drain.

There are some tools that you need to build things. Circular saw, router, cutoff saw, drill, and yes, an angle grinder. I'm a weekend warrior having built things like a pool deck with a curved staircase and sliding gate, a 6' long table light fixture, a media cabinet integrated into a mantle etc. And then there are some tools just so you can tell your friends that yes, as a matter of fact, you do have a keyhole bit for your router and a biscuit joiner. Because there's nothing better than your buddies going "oh, wow, I wish I had a need for those". Not that I do, but I have them!

Are you planning to use micro-cement for inside the shower? I know you wanted to hold it as a surprise but the anticipation is too much as I watch this bus moving closer to completion. Also to confirm the tightness, would it be a good idea to run air into the bathroom compartment so you can spot possible problem areas?

Chuck, is the drill on that countersinking drill bit tapered? It looks like it from the video. As an alternative to the track saw I use an 8ft 2 piece straight edge I got at one of the big box home stores. It has a 1/4 in lip on one side and I just set that 4" back (the distance from the edge of the foot to the blade) from where I want the line to be and use my regular circular saw. If you make a mistake it's always longer than you want so just take a second pass to clean it up. Works great and it's a WHOLE lot cheaper than a track saw. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.

Question: Would it make sense to put in a dehumidifier? Then instead of having the water collect and having to manually dump it, route the water collected from the dehumidifier tank into your water holding tank?

Another great video, thanks so much! Love the curved wall you installed... I kerf wood like you did in creating borders in landscapes and was thinking that you should note how deep you make those cuts in the plywood so that viewers don't over do it (or under do it) when creating their own curved walls, so the end result is as great as yours. Dig that wall paper too! Keep up the great and informative videos!

That curved wall is so worth the effort! Question for ya chuck, you said that you were putting in the front and back walls and then bringing in the side walls to hold them in. Essentially locking in your front and back walls. In your buses case, you have your windshield wiper motor under your front wall that is now locked in. If you had to replace the motors, how would you now go about getting at them?

What is the advantage to adding your interior walls directly to the strapping before the exterior? Verses skinning all exterior walls and ceiling first and then adding the interior ones to that or with longer screws through it? I'm thinking the pocket screws would still work at all the strapping points of contact and you could use longer screws to attach interior walls through the surface of exterior walls. I get that it hides the scribed edge and makes seams tight or rather it's easier to get a tight seam. Another way to ask, is it ok to do exterior walls first to seal off the insulated cavity or is there a disadvantage to doing it that way?

HI Chuck. I have been watching your channel for sometime and am grateful for the advice. In this episode you showed your custom shower pan. I am working with my sheet metal guy on building one now and our only concern is getting a flange dimple for the shower drain... does your outside provider have a special die to do that or could you help with ideas? we are even willing to request a custom pan from your supply if necessary. Thank you!
