Installing/Upgrading to a Mini Innofader Plus (S) in a Roland DJ-202

The market is flooded with entry-level DJ controllers, but they all share a common problem: the components used to build them are not pro-grade. Specifically, the Achilles' heel of most budget-friendly controllers and the first component to wear is the crossfader.
In most cases, your only option is to jump up to a $600+ controller to achieve a bump in quality. Let me be the first to say just because you upgrade the crossfader doesn't mean other parts won't fail, but at least you have an overall better sound and experience (if you scratch).
I chose the Roland DJ 202 for the following reasons:
-Affordability
-Free upgrade to Serato DJ Pro
-Features
If the goal is to get you started and not feel like you need to relist your controller 1 month after purchasing because your 1-Click isn't "Flaring" due to a cut in the distance, this may be the video for you.

you were a bit vague about the jumpers. im still trying to figure them out

Wzup MrFLbreakz, thanks for reaching out. I created a jpg in hopes of better explaining...xfaderz.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Innofader-Solder-S.jpg Essentially, the bottom set of jumpers are in the correct orientation, but the top two will need to be removed to reveal the 4 solder pads underneath. Based on the attached diagram, you can either replace the jumpers (vertically) to bridge 1-2 and 3-4 or use solder to connect the two pads. Let me know if that helps. Thanks
