will the hose under the engine block be affected by the extreme heat of the engine?

I've stuck my hand under there several times after running the engine and it isn't even warm. Also this has to be heater hose and no plastics anywhere along that part of the hose not even wire ties

What does the tow tap prevent?

It stops water being forced back into the engine via the exhaust manifold if the ski has to be towed and has no power. Otherwise the tow speed has to be below 5mph (manufacturers recommendation for Seadoo)

Nice one mate, I'm just paying shop to put one in for me. So if you do break down, you have to remove the seat on the water to get to the valve?

Yes just the seat not the decking plate. Not keen on breaking the integrity of the hull by having something on the outside.
