Hello - thank you for this video. Do you HAVE TO tether the belt behind the seat? What if your car is a compact car and doesn't have this capability?

Yes, the tether is required on this car seat, but even compact cars should have tether anchors available - it's been a requirement in passenger vehicles since Sept 1, 2002. If you're unsure of where they might be located, check your vehicle owner's manual under the LATCH section.
