    There are hundreds of hours spent on the overall product and specifically the enclosure design. This enclosure has allowed us to extract every bit of functionality and thus give customers the best experience with our spindle systems. Even our upgrade path to an ATC was thought hard on how to offer. We believe in this community and invest in it.

    Always happy to see recent videos, this way you are sure they reflect the most recent version of a product. I have 2 questions though, regarding the 2.2 80mm water cooled spindle kit: 1. It's not very clear to me if a pump is included or not. I saw an unboxing video which was posted roughly 1 year ago, which was showing a pump being included in the kit. But on the website, on the spindle kit page, under "What's not included" it says "Cooling pump available separately with choice of standard or clear flex tubing" ... Also, on my spindle kit I already chose "water cooling with silicone tubes". But now I am confused... if the kit doesn't include the pump, but only the tubing, and the pump needs to be purchased separately - which in turn has tubing selection mandatory, then I simply have twice the tubing (once selected on the spindle kit and then again with the pump)... right? 2. I'm in Europe, on 220V power outlets and EU standard power plugs. Do you automatically decide on what power outlets, plugs and voltage to support based on the shipping address? Because I haven't been asked this question at any point during the checkout process. And another question regarding the v10 Dust Boot. I chose the 4" version. But if I would also want the option to sometimes use a 2.5" hose, would it be recommended (performance wise) to also get a separate 2.5" version of the Dust Boot or should I just get some sort of adapter from 4" to 2.5", and if so - could you recommend an adapter, I'm not 100% sure what to chose from the website - cnc newb here, just getting started? Sorry for the long questions here, but I can't find a contact form or email on the website, only the possibility to create a support ticket. Maybe it's a language barrier, but to my understanding "support" refers to wether or not I have any functional issues with the product, and I don't even own the product yet, I've just ordered it recently.

    A pump is not included (and will be listed separately in the shopping cart after answering the spindle kit questions)... but the overall kit was reduced in price to compensate for that. This allows folks to choose whichever cooling system they'd like to use. We've recently added the CW-3000 chiller to our site.. and that can be used instead of the pump. Tubing and pump are considered the "cooling system". Answer the kit questions and hit add to cart... then examine your cart... it'll all make sense then. All shipments are US plugs (support.pwncnc.com/kb/article/15-what-you-ll-need-to-power-your-2-2kw-220v-spindle-kit/). We do use standard C13 receiver ports on the VFD Enclosure allowing you to find a C13 to local plug style that your country uses. We also have a limited number of 220v pumps available... although the chiller is exclusively 110v. Another reason the cooling system is optional. Plus we do sell the tubing by-the-foot so if you decide to use your own pump/chiller... tubing can be added to the order. Considering performance, if you plan to use a 2.5" hose... we'd recommend going with the 2.5" boot. The entire boot size changes between 4" and 2.5". The much larger size would be a detriment to the performance when using a smaller hose. Feel free to contact us at support@pwncnc.com and we can dig into each of these further.

Doing this will maximize the amount of Z-capacity your machine gives you. This is different between machines. Both my 1f's are at the warehouse... off for the weekend ;-)

Some folks further north have needed something stronger so a 1-3 mix of antifreeze to distilled water is good. We go into more details within the manual included with your spindle kit shipment.

It’s been about 4 weeks or more waiting for my upgrade package(woodworker to Elite woodworker withe new feet that have access holes to motor coupling. The pwncnc system seems very Easy to install. I also got the v10 dust boot. What is not clear and I have yet to find any video on subject is how and we’re to mount the vfd and how high or what holes to put the z axis in plus how to determine from that point how high to mount the spindle in the spindle mount. I also have the QCW and stand so my set up is like what you had in this video other than you did not mount the 2.2 water cooled spindle.

    I was interested in this CNC for both designs and surfacing slabs. I was wondering about the height between the top and the bars or spindle. Is that height adjustable? Or is it set right where it’s at permanently? Would I be able to surface a 4” or a 5” thick piece of wood, or slab?

  • @PwnCNC

    @PwnCNC

    5 ай бұрын

    The Onefinity is very customizable. Although the machine's Z travel is limited, you can raise the entire machines at the four corners using pads (pwncnc.com/products/onefinity-foot-pads) like these. This way if you're surfacing a 10" log, you can go down into that 10" (or bigger) log as deep as 6" if necessary. In the video my machine is mounted to their optional QCW table. Most folks don't opt for that instead building a custom machine bed to suite their particular needs. Some have even gotten fancy and designed beds with a fold-down 90deg bend that allows for joinery carving.

  • @PwnCNC

    I typically mount the spindle so there's 2-3" of the main spindle body poking out the bottom of the spindle mount. The idea is to have the bottom of the spindle collet nut above the bottom of the X/Z carriage by a 1-2". This way you can maximize the amount of Z capacity your machine has.

    There is two currently unexposed pins inside the VFD Enclosure that'll let you install a braking resistor, more on that to come later this year. The Manual Override switch on the VFD allows you to manually control the spindle separately from the CNC controller. This is good for surfacing operations where you'd like to jog the spindle around yourself running a carve... or if you're wanting to use the spindle like a simple palm router... run/stop and rpm controlled from the VFD's keypad. There are many folks who use the IoT power strip to automatically turn on their cooling pump.

    What is the tolerance (i.e., percent deviation / accuracy) of the 10 VDC power supply used to control spindle RPM? Can an end user groom the provided power supply output to ensure proper range from 0 VDC to 10 VDC? If not, I could plan on incorporating a higher quality power supply from Acopian.

  • @PwnCNC

    @PwnCNC

    9 ай бұрын

    The 0-10v power is supplied by the Masso G3 contained within the Masso Touch controller. This analog signal is sent to the VFD to control the RPMs of the motor. I don't know if it is replaceable. I would definitely like to know if there was some circuit that could achieve this but also tweak the voltage such that set-points could be made in order to provide a more accurate relationship between the voltage point and the RPMs.
