Had the rigid collars on my FD2R. It was the first mod when I got my GR Yaris. Great stuff especially when you pair with pillowball top mounts.

Can you describe the difference before and after instalking the rigid collar on your FD2R? I'm considering it but would like to hear from someone who has done it to their FD2R. Thanks

@@eugenes3837 Its hard to describe because its all about the feel. My initial condition was a stock FD2R fitted with Ohlins R&T DFV with Ohlins pillowball top mounts. Then we installed the steering rigid collars, front and rear subframe collars. The first most apparent difference is in the steering which becomes more accurate and you're able to place the car confidently in the turns and are able to trust it more to keep the chosen line. There is far less need to do micro corrections in the corner. This especially helps when you're squeezing past another car in a high speed turn. The second difference is that you can perceive that the suspension is actually working because its been given a more rigid base on which to work against. It seems to me that the pillowball top mounts are key to working with the rigid collar and vice versa. Case 1 my FD2R with pillowballs only really really felt fantastic after fitting the rigid collars. Case 2 my GRY with rigid collars only felt next level after fitting Cusco pillowball front topmounts. YMMV.
Was wondering when our guy masa was going to upload some yaris content, it has trully been a while, specailly considering i already saw you in other channels videos hahaha, great content as usual !!!
Love it 🙌
Keep it up !👍

Loving what you are doing to this car 🫶 what a weapon 😎 Track days are going to be so good in this car with these upgrades 🔥 Also a quick question while I’m here I’m in Japan atm and was looking at going and checking out the car scene while here. I’ll be in Tokyo on the 31st Jan and the 1st Dec. Is there anything going on these nights?

Oho, grazie things. Supernice GRMN, but the importest part you must change is the exhaust😊
will you exchange your GRMN for the new 300hp GR Yaris?
@masalovescars

There’s an upgrade parts program for the GRMN. I will do that to the car rather than getting the newer version.
Make Spoon parts for Toyota?!
hmm.. marketing talks :D
What happened to Capt. Bradford? Plz share if you are in the know…
Sorry, but these do nothing other than align the subframe to the body. The way you describe them is how the company sells them, which is total BS. They are a waste of money and do nothing. The manufacturer has a clearance between bolt and subframe for manufacturing tolerances. If the bolts are tight there will be no movement between frames so these do nothing to improve control, rigidity, handling or NVH. Sorry, but these things will do nothing for the life of the car as you describe.
