I figured out the SUPER easy way!!! Remove the bottom plastic piece that has the 2 cross tip screws FIRST, after you remove that then you can literally see the spring AND the punch. Under a minute to pop both sides. Thanks for this tutorial brother, you always crush it 🙏🏾

Definitely gonna rip!

Installed ebay paddles today that cost like $40. Only issue was I didn't know after disconnecting the battery, it took a few hours for the system to reset completely. Initially, the reverse camera stopped working along with a couple of other features. Waited a few hours and enabled paddles in JScan and everything works perfectly.

I have a question, I was watching your other video and I’m curious on if I can just replace the whole steering wheel and put an upgraded one with the paddle shifters already on it ?

Upgrade the engine hood to SRT it will change the look of your car and make it more aggressive.

I had a 2015 Laredo that did have paddles. My 2019 Laredo e did not have them. And now my 2021 trailhawk has them.

You need the tazer or another product like it to enable them in the computer & keep them active yeah!

Question, when you are done going through the tazer settings, can you remove the tazer from the OBD port or do you have to leave it connected to maintain the settings?

If it's a "live option" you need to keep it plugged in for it to work. If not you can remove it

@@BJPLIFESTYLE Thanks man! I looked at that user guide and it says " • enable support of added factory paddle shifters (2012-2021)....under vehicle settings", so I am taking that as we do not need to leave it plugged it!!! Great videos...KEEP THEM COMING!!!

So is the car in that setting all the time? Or.... Can you do what the 15 models do by holding the + to toggle it off or by hitting it (+) once to toggle on?

Once you enable it with the tazer it’s the same where you tap to enable or hold to turn it off. You can also slap the shifter into manual mode if you want

i would have rathered the radio upgrade than the paddles and the start/stop! i dont use them even if it didn't have the backup cam installed, the touch screen would've been better than the 5in you gotta love those jeep decision makers ~ oOOf

Appreciate it! I bought them used so I don't have a link, but the shifters are part numbers: 5RQ09DX9AD & 5RQ08DX9AD. You need the Tazer module to enable the paddles if your car isn't equipped. That comes from www.zautomotive.com

There’s other options but you need to get into the computer to enable them otherwise they won’t work

Not sure as the steering wheel is a bit different, you’d have to find SRT paddles from that heat if they have them!

Make sure the tazer is connected & married to your car and press the two buttons that are in your tazer instructions to enter the tazer mode. Also make sure the car is on run mode without pressing the brake

If it didn’t come with paddles you’ll need to get the tazer or another option to enable them

@@BJPLIFESTYLE active cruise control will make your long trip a breeze and maybe safe some gas . It's an add-on they were charging way too much for and thought id do aftermarket, haven't seen the first person attempt it

When you set it to manual the D becomes 1,2,3 etc!

The amount of money you have put into that jeep would have made a nice down payment on that SRT that you want....

I can’t find a single SRT in the spec I want for the price I want to pay, plus I’m just going to keep holding off and doing stuff on this while I work on other things!

I disabled my factory paddle shifters. ANY unnecessary wear and tear on a Mopar transmission is a horrible idea. And honestly, when are you ever going to need it? I'd love to physically remove them if I could.
