That sounds like a bonus..Those things drive me crazy. Always alerting when you pass exits and entrance ramps, construction zones or just phantom lines made by the sun reflecting off of the road.🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for that info about the blue plug,,as far as ldw just remove the ldw switch by the hazard switch ,never here the lane warning again ,if you trade the truck in or get a different truck just plug it back in

I dont have much knowledge about audio systems i just wanted to ask can i install dvc speakers since those have place for 2 plugs

Why didn't you splice the two wires together and then connect them to the new speaker? Wouldn't that work? You would be able to get all of your alerts and the music with one connection

So im stuck with the factory speakers?? no way around the 2 input speakers

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like there is a bridge under the sockets that connects wires together.

( Mount on Vehicle Dash ) I Used Many Years Ago on CB Bracket on the Bottom of the Unit Threaded Suction Cups .Two on Each Side of Bracket . I Added Two Flat Washers, One Lock-Washer and a NUT. And Radio Shack Speaker I Added Two Threaded Suction Cups to the same Hard-Ware . On Either Side of Speaker Bracket ,and Placed on Top of CB Unit . I Never had Problem With Either One Staying in Place . Easy to Remove a Store Away ,When Needed. I am checking CB Speakers on KZread Ads. I Found This One MFJ Clear-Tone Speaker ( MFJ-281 ) ( 2.5 X2.5 Squire ) From Ham Radio Guy .I Purchase One Off Ebay Works Really Great with Midland CB and Really Small Speaker , And I use it on CB Hump-Mount for Passenger Seat . The Speaker Sits Below the CB Unit with Verco Strips. Between the Brackets ..I Don't Use the threaded suction cups on Passenger Seat . Just Duct-Tape for the Saw-Tooth Bottom Bracket or Flex-Tube Slide on .Either One Will Work ..

I wonder if you could use a dual voice coil speaker to still keep that functionality. Edit: the warning that a spesker has problem tells me it's got a canbus chip in it, or it detects it by resistance. Someone has said they hooked a 3.5" spesker to blue harness (truck sounds) and it got rid of dash message but was very low volume for said sounds. It's like the oem is a knock off cadence DVC 6.5" since it's all mids and highs like the cadence are designed for, no low end.

I know this is old, but I do remember the older freight liners. The speaker that made the warning sounds was above your head and it was a separate speaker from the one that made music. If I remember correctly, but has anybody heard anything else about being able to just wire Another cheap midrange speaker Or use Tweeters hooked up to a amplifier?

Can you hook the alert wires to the speakers wires and it work?

Should be able to run jumper wires from the set that does all the warnings to the regular speaker wire that way you will still get those played through your door speaker

Did u ever hook up that audible warning part of the speaker as u mention u would w a small speaker?

There was no sound on my left speaker. I got a pair of pioneer t600m 4way speakers. And pair of cheap walmart tweeters for blue socket. Tweeters didn't work for me. Having the left speaker problem warning. And my left speaker is still not working. I believe there is something wrong with the harness. I gave up for today. I'll keep posted here if I figure out something

You only need one of the 2 warning signals for low air or any other warning flag that pops up on the dash. If you don't have a "buzzer" you must have a visual warning, if you don't have a visual warning, you must have a audible warning to direct your attention to your gauges. Only time you'd get a ticket is if you don't have either of those warnings. Now the getting fired part, most likely if it isn't approved from the company, because 9 times out of 10 they're lease trucks and they don't want to waste money for for crap like that.

Couldn't you just splice the two together, the blue into normal audio side? Just curious if that would work, eliminating the tweeters

@@jrichtruckincbtipsso what was your solution? As I understand if you connect parallel 2ohm resistor to your 4ohm speakers it will help with that. I also have a problem on my truck. Connected 4ohm 6.5” on main place and 4ohm 3.5” to blue connector. Still haven’t solved that problem

Why not just use a dual voice coil speaker? I’m sure that’s all the factory speaker is is a dual voice coil. They are real popular is the car stereo world because they can be wire to lower the ohms and pull more power. But they make dual voice coil 5 and 6” aftermarket door speakers that I think would work perfectly. Wire the stereo to one side and the truck alarms to the other side of speaker. Their will be a positive and negative on both sides of the same speaker.

Just use a load resistor. Truck computer will think speaker is still there. No speaker warning light

Not as easy as the 15 cascadias... that sucks they combined safety into the audio speakers.

A two way speaker with the alarm wired into the tweeter could be an option.

Yeah but you'd lose highs, be simpler to just grab a cheap small speaker to designate for the alerts

You do not need ro remove the door handle

Better chance the stereo itself

wire the positive & negative wires from warning alert harness into positive & negative speaker harness all 2gether & alerts come thru speakers without losing alert & ALL problems solved...thank me later
