    Crazy how that front lawn is still green this time of year. Even down where you are with the low temps and being Kikuyu.

    Nice Ben Sims. 👌👌👌 Just spent two weeks out at Oberon. The middle of that was so wet and miserable. You were brave to even hit it on that first day. Bet that’s a great feeling to have that sorted. 👍

    Just about to get my bore pump installed! can't wait! - waiting for electrical come put in a connection first. How did you trench? and what mm wire did you end up using for your (submain box?) connection? Looking forward to seeing how you go with the irrigation from that pump - will be needing some inspo haha

    Awesome mate, exciting times ahead! I did the trench with a Skidsteer and excavator. I have some videos from a couple of weeks ago on the channel. We use 6mm wire because that’s all we needed over that distance.

    I see bore water stains the concrete in wa, from what I've been told is because of the iron. does that iron work to green the lawn or is it different.

  • @musc258

    @musc258

    Haha yeah maybe that's the secret to the green in those low temps. We had a bore on the farm that had white stains, maybe calcium I don't recall if we had it tested. We used to drink it though it was a very clean reliable bore.

    The orange conduit needs UV protection where it isn't buried. I didn't see any underground warning tape, but i'll just assume you didn't film that bit.

    I'm no expert, but I would have thought the orange conduit connections would have been the other way around. I.e. female joins at the bottom of the sections and male at the top. Just considering the slope of the land and water etc.

    ROFL, pretty certain I seen the phone line ripped and lecky-tape repaired, bloody sparkies..... Lay-flat hose on pump, not poly and no stainless safety cable?

  • @LawnTips

    @LawnTips

    2 жыл бұрын

    Nah definitely wasn’t tape bro. Was some heavy duty heat shrink. Took us ages to get the stuff on since we used proper joiners and did it all properly. Was a Telstra line which is actually in-active but we joined back up just in case it was ever to be used again. That’s the way of the future I’m told mate, I’m not a submersible pump expert though, are you?
