Installing Lead Roof Pipe Boots Could Save You Thousands!

Lead Roof Pipe Boots are a critical part of your roofing system and our opinion, far superior to Metal Roof Pipe Boots for many reasons, which we will discuss in this video. #plumbingboots is another name for these components that help watertight your roofing system. This type of #ventpipeflashing is very common in the roofing industry and provide a watertight seal around your plumbing vents.

It looks the boot is angled. Are they ‘boots” intended to be purchased based on the roof pitch? I have a 6:12. I’m curious, what is the difference between a roof vent and a roof boot?

My house has a 30 year old concrete villa style tile roof and I recently used a thin aluminum flashing/boot that sort of contours to the tile. Never again. I will pay the extra money for lead flashing that can be perfectly molded to the tile and does not need any caulk.

I have a 4" cast iron hub & spigot vent pipe, and a 6" hub is only a few inches above the roof. Underneath the hub, the pipe has copper flashing which is leaking. I have caulked it with roofing tar, but it still leaks. What sort of flashing would you recommend for this? Is there a lead boot made for something like this?

I live in the south and hate the rubber boots I have a metal roof and need to replace them about every 2-3 years. Can I put a lead boot on a metal roof?

Lead boots are great but squirrels love to eat them causing water leaks. All jacks have pro's and con's.
