No sorry - I’m still around. Just had a few issues to deal with but getting back on it now mate

How did you modify the red backing plate to fit?

I basically drilled out the slot for the bolts so I made a greater diameter for the bolts to go through - do you have same problem as I had?

@phoenixmotos9712 Yes it seems so. Did you have to open up the slots? Widen them? Grind on the actual case?

Excellent 👍 Do they have that kit for Motoplat CDI on old European bikes ? I never knew CR had points that late ?

Yeah they do have kits for euro bikes too. Just need to check specific models. You I was a bit surprised about the points that late too though I knew they were points in 74… I suspect they were points until the red rocket in 78..

You seriously need the stator in place before you do that , you also have to LAP the rotor to the crank stub,

Hi - I’d lined it to the right are and then just needed to get the exact position right. Regards lapping it - I’ve done hundred of these and never had 1 slip & never lapped them
