Lets face it, an 80 series is more technologically advanced and modern than a new 79... lol
Depends how much you really want to reduce the noise but sound deadening under the bonnet can assist.

U obviously didn't listen to ya m8 before he left as he told u to use one piece over the transmission tunnel and cut crosses where the gear sticks are and it will fit better
