Installing BioCube Protein Skimmer - today I am installing the last item that came with my Deluxe BioCube 32 LED kit from MarineandReef.com, the protein skimmer. This skimmer was made specifically for the BioCube although it can be used on other nano tanks. Let's install it....

Is there room for the protein skimmer and a heater in the first chamber there? I want to buy a BRS 100 watt heater but I'm not sure if there's room. I have the newer skimmer with the needle.

No. I had to move my heater to the middle chamber. I have an In-Tank media rack and everything fits fine and the heater is below the water level.
have you noticed a drop in nitrates? or...is the skimmer worth it?

It worked but not great. I replaced it with a Tunze 9001 which does seem to work better but again, not great.
Add snails
Does the bio cube coral life come with this skimmer ?

Not normally. I bought a kit and it was included. I have upgraded to the Coralife needle wheel skimmer which works very good for a small tank skimmer. kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6p3s9uzdKmyiJs.html
