You should cut ventilation gaps in the electrical cabinet. You can cut holes or slats in the door, or you could cut a rectangle or circles down below and install soffit vents. Maybe soffit vents on the side would be better. The electric can generate heat.

I usually build the cabinet and then take it down and paint it. I don't think the glue works as well on top of paint. It cant penetrate if it's sealed. But you could have just sanded the paint off where the glue goes so no big deal. If it ever comes lose then pull the face off and glue it back on. But I also forget to do things once in a while. It's always an experiment. I just ordered pretty much the same gas shocks you used . . . spring assist hinges would not hold the door up. Now i have holes to fill from sending the hinges back.

Very nice, were thinking about having these or magnets, not too sure yet.

Hey Kevin! Thank you for the videos, these have been so helpful. I noticed that the Outdoorsman drew up the depth of 4.5" on top and 9.5" bottom, with 15.5" height. Those look small. You mentioned top depth of 9.25" in your previous video, so quite a bit bigger. How are you liking that size? does it block your view of the countertop? Also, would you mind sharing the bottom depth and the height that you finished with?

Hey Dan, Thank you! The bottom depth is 12 or 15” maybe I can’t recall and not near the van right now. Big enough to fit full size plates in them

Looks nice, wood glue will not work on a painted surface.
