Intakes make a differance in sound as well it sounds alot more aggresive from the engine bay area. I had a friend down here in AZ who did a muffler delete and the sound wasreally nice

I have these downpipes and I went with MBRP catback because they were one of the only companies making 3 inch catback exhaust. Big difference in power I'm actually full bolt on too. Nice informative video keep up the good work.

Does the MBRP exhaust have resonators?

Heads up you may want to use muffler cement and the full steel MLS gaskets. The waffle type with blow out eventually. Good video!

Of so if i get this and get a burble tune , but instead of a muffler delete I get a cut out valve , whenever I close the valve it will still be quiet right?

I think this may vary by state like in az usually you pass without a check engine light i know other stats may be more strict.

To go from 3inch to 2.5 ?

Hii how are you i also got a good deal and got used lower ams dp but there are no gaskits can u suggest where can i get it and also the conversion kit from 2.5 to 3inch

I’m looking into getting downpipes. 17 Q50 3.0. Should I get the 2.5” or 3”? Not too sure on that.

Well depends what you are going for. If you want more air flow go 3 in. I think most 2.5 are cheaper so depends on budget to.

How bad is the drone/rasp with non resonated downpipes? I've been considering one but kinda inclined with the resonated ones (AAM/HKS) due to the drone/rasp.

Ita really depends on what catback you go with. I am pretty much straight pipe with 1 resonator it does have drone but its not bad tbh. I like how it sounds but alot of other exhaust are really quiet. If you dont want rasp u would go with hks. Thay was actually my choice but got a good deal on these ams downpipes

They all basically do the same thing but I would say Megan if you want cheap and ams which are the ones I have but I think they are disc

I'm not sure about cali but here in AZ aslong as you don't have a check engine light you should be okay. You can get a catback but if you remove the catalytic converters you may have issues with that.

I just did a bms heat exchanger and ams lower dp on my RS 400 only no tune, and I don't feel any difference in power. 😔

You may feel a small differance with ldp but you already may 400 hp this would be more effective with a tune

I never got a check engine light when I had the car

Reason why nothing really changed is you put those 3in pipes ahead of small dia 1.75" pipes (not sure what size they actually are but they are literally like garden hose sized towards the last couple of feet before muffler). I get it...the dp's were a good price so you grabbed them up. No harm in that. Downside of the larger downpipes with the loss of 2 catalytics and then by adding a larger/free flowing CBE is these oem turbos are not built/designed for that increase flow. The stock turbo/s will fail/blow oil within time without the restrictive exhaust setup. Not just my opinion but based on many people's results over time.

@@Chrizleyva Reason why I won't be getting downpipes but I said that about an exhaust too, but I did buy one today. The one thing about this exhaust is it's a very mellow system with the resonators and basically the rear muffler but these will flow better than the stock ones. All 2.5" piping so no bottlenecking after the downpipes. Plus this 15310 street-series Magnaflow CBE has the perfectly designed and functional x-pipe portion that will help scavenge/suck the exhaust out of the restrictive oem downpipes and cats. Also a medium increase in sound but not obnoxious, raspy and fart can sounding. I don't want a big increase in sound.

Will it pass smog that's the question?
