Another great job well done! Don't know to many contractors that would undertake this task of adding a quick connect system to a machine that wasn't designed for it! Kudos!

Isn't it great when we envision an improvement to our stuff and then purchase or make the required parts and perform the project. There are always unforeseen problems to overcome which make the finished project even sweeter. Especially a project like this that has long term benefits you get to enjoy every time you use the stuff.

and i am sure every time you run into a problem, chances are Andrew has a video to show you how to fix it ;) But in the event he does not, all you need is a chainsaw and a sledgehamer - get the one with the good handle though ;)

Hey Andrew, I found your channel not too long ago and i really like what you're doing, very informative as I'm just about done building my house and will be building a couple of shops on a 9 acre lot, so I bought a 2012 yanmar 45 with cab, a 2017 50 hp kioti tractor a 2006 5 yard international dump truck and a 2002 Genie lift, I have a different business, but working on the excavator gives me great joy, just finished about 500' of French drain at between 5' and 8' deep at 2% slope, I ended up buying ezdig system for the excavator which made it really easy, not cheap, but for a beginner like me made it possible to do what would have been I think a 40k to 50k job really easy. Anyway, love your channel and thanks for all great videos. Thank you.

Dang that a big project your working on Dan, I'm getting close on a 5 acre piece here in Hawaii, did a ton of excavation work and am planning on some shops myself, Andrew inspired me to start my own channel on excavation, got some cool content that may give you some tips and ideas for your property, I'm starting a farm and doing excavation as a small business , hope to get everyone's support here, good luck on your property it can get overwhelming at times but stay motivated, it'll be worth it in the end

Great work as always Andrew, just a suggestion, in my days doing site prep I modified a grader blade to fit a quick change on a PC300 Komatsu, it made grading large areas a breeze and cut down on loader/dozer use.

That all worked out great. I look forward to seeing you use all this “new” equipment on upcoming jobs once the weather changes and spring is in the air.

Andrew at 13:17 look at your Kubota bucket plate top ear is in a different position than the plates you just welded on. Put a shaft on the Kubota bucket top ear and you will see the different position from the ear plate you welded on the other bucket. Great video thanks for sharing!

Andrew, get yourself a "Reamer" and run it through that hole, I know by now you have probably resolve that problem. I was hoping you would have done it in the video. Good Job! Great video work.

This system is a no brainer since the hammer and bucket need to be able to work together in harmony

Andrew you never cease to amaze me. Your videos are so educational. They have that magic that makes a person late for school (or work) as your walking to school and you see a machine doing something cool, and you start watching it w/ such intensity, you forget about time. (Having ran quite a few machines myself, it’s easy to see you have a gift, if you will, at judging grades, angles, and distances. Especially when one must realize the point of angle is so different when sitting in the operators seat. As one doesn’t realize that some of what your doing is from a blind point of view, and requires almost a sixth sense)

Andrew, that is a beautiful job fabricating the quick.change mounts. Less than 5 minute change is definitely a very quick change system! It is very tight and able to be lubricated properly. Very nice. It’s the best one I have seen including those professionally installed. Great work my man.

I just watched your video from last year "How I got started in excavation". I worked for decades for a utility company where we used contractors to perform excavations for us. I can tell right away that you are a capable operator. Have you thought of making videos that explain how to operate say your excavator. You could provide tips, pitfalls to avoid, teach how to mentally coordinate the movements and maybe explain why.

weld your contractor license number in the sides of the excavator tools especially the hammers.. or your DOT number.. either can be traced back to you fairly easily..

@@markfryer9880 The cops here would't spend a single dime to track any stolen equipment here unless someone was murdered to get it or it was their stuff. Me, I have a hidden gps tracker in my stuff and if it moves from a site i get a text message. I don't have to wait for the lazy cops to do their job.

Andrew makes the best how to work with heavy equipment videos. The information and entertainment value of his videos is the best KZread has to offer in the how to do it documentary category. This is coming from someone who didn't know he had a deep interest in earth moving equipment until I was too old to do anything about it! The other thing I love about Andrew's videos is I can watch them with the sound off and understand most of what's going on while I listen to Mendelssohn chamber music.

I finally figured out why I can’t get enough videos. It’s simple really, he shows everything you want to see, and nothing you don’t!

First man to to put a Kubota coupler on a Yanmar. isn't that technically a world record then?

@@MrRocklizard yeah, i mean if you're going for cheap a alternator would probably be your best option. Put a pipe on the shaft with flanges on it and some rope and you'd be all set. Use a capped bearing on the end to hold it in place and you'd be set.
