So the inside pole wire at 18" tall and the tape at 32". The outside wire is 18" off the ground. And the poles are 36" apart, correct? Smaller deer (fawns and yearlings) don't just go under the fence?

No they won’t. Deer are curious animals and will put their nose on the outside wire and get that pop from the electricity and stay out.

How does letting the deer in after the the beans are 3' tall maximize tonnage? Is this a food plot, so you want them in after the plants are 3 foot tall? Do the deer not bother the plants after they are 3' tall?

You want to keep the deer out of the beans long enough for them to get established and produce enough forage to be able to withstand the browse pressure. Once the fence comes down the deer will absolutely begin to consume the leaves but at 3’ tall there are a lot more leaves for the deer.

Where did you get your spool system from?
