Quick tip : TIme is money - complete the pipework first, then while u pulling vacuum you can do electrical work. Let the AC run while you pack your van, if the job is a distance away , manually throw water in driptray to test, especially above a TV

i do all that, i have even a special bottle with straw to shoot water in the inside unit tot test the drain.

Definitely pipework in and done then faff around doing the other stuff , seems a very strange way of working and extremely slow. I'm guessing rates must be very good split bashing down under.. . Couldn't quite understand your accent regarding why you didn't come straight down and across as I see no reason not to have done. I also would have brought the outdoor unit right forward on the brackets for better airflow and cleaning. Overall a really neat and tidy job . Fair play
You could always measure from centre to exit hole. Then use stud finder. This will save a little time also and not have to drill then move
Good job! Clean and tidy
Perfect as always. I too only mount the center but when I drill my inside pilot hole I continue straight thru to the outside. I OFTEN wondered about you seeing snakes 😳I’m not liking spiders either. Great video stay well.

Thanks mate. Haha this is the time of year the snakes are waking up so when I heard slithering noises in the bush I was just being safe by making noise but I’m 99% sure it was just a blue tongue lizard which are harmless and a great animal 😅
Hey man good video, you should feed the interconnect in off the drum as soon as the hole is cut. Wire it in then hang the indoor and shes all gravy
Nice Mitch, i think the offset of the outside unit worked great. Minimum lengt of the lineset should be 3 meter and dont think you wil have reached that when going straight to the outside unit.

Yeah it would have been pushing it going straight down. Cheers mate!
A nice neat job Mitch. i am so Pleased that a Red Bellied Joe Blake never sprung out from under that thick growth 🥺 BTW a nice 26c here today, a great afternoon for a spin on my TREK MTB 😉

Great weather to get out and about on the mountain bike!
NIce work, some advice - get clients to remove TV's before you work , eliminates who pays for what if u where to damage the TV . I hate when I get to site and then need to spend time moving furniture and things around before I can actually get to installation. I also use old bed sheets to cover the area I work in, makes clean up much easier and also protects clients furniture and floor. All our houses are build from brick, so dust is the worst

Tidy Install Mitch!
Loving these videos mate 👌🏽 Do you use the same measurement (and what’s the measurement in your opinion for the cleanest look) from ceiling to top of indoor bracket ? Or does it change with different sized units?

Thanks mate, I honestly just eye it. Roughly 100mm I think is good. To high and to low looks weird to me.👍🏻
not sure why I'm watching a video on how to install a heat pump but hey. I like the trunking, makes what could be ugly, look flash!

Can copper get corded near drains?? Reducing life of which ac you suggest to install in these areas
Hello, my grandad's house got flooded and the Daikin unit did as well. The outdoor unit was completely submerged but the remote and indoor unit were not. Do we fix it or replace it?
Do you not do a nitrogen test for leaks?
You’re a true perfectionist….whats the brand and model of electric screwdriver you use for your finer work and electrical ?
@maracservices

Thanks mate. So the brand is called Vessel. There’s a link to it in my video description section where you can see the model etc. cheers
Can you tell me the make of your cordless screwdriver please? Nice n good job 👏

Nice job, where is your Rothenberger pipe cutter? Did you lose it? :)

Still got it mate. I have another set and I just grabbed the first one I saw. All good, the rothenburgers will make an appearance again haha
Surge protector! Other than that amazing work 👏
Was that a press nut used in the top mounting? Never seen that before, but I would question the security of such a thing in sheetrock. I would have had the customer remove the TV before hand. At bare minimum placed a towel over it.

If you’re talking about the indoor unit, I used hollow wall anchors. These things, costlessbolts.com.au/hollow-wall-anchor-use-with-tool-ha-sthd/
beautiful work, pay much attention to detail ! by the way where can I find that electric hand screw driver?

Hey Mitch Can you recommend someone good in Melbourne??
@maracservices

Unfortunately not mate. I have contacts in QLD and NZ I could recommend but unfortunately I don’t know anyone is Melbourne. Id recommend just asking around. Word of mouth recommendations are the best way of finding good tradies. Goodluck!
Is it made in India or made in Malaysia or Made in Thailand model?

Love your videos. But may just be my OCD but is the unit straight @ 13:34?
@maracservices

Come on you know me better then that surely 😂 100% it’s level. The ceiling matches the pitch of the colourbond versiclad roof. So it’s the ceiling that’s purposely not level which makes it look like the unit is on the piss 😂
