Rewatch watch the video bub. He installed all the correct lenses. Maybe you need a cheater lens on your phone so you can see how silly you look.

As a welder of 40 plus years, I recommend you weld at a darker shade to help prevent cataracts and possibly blindness as you get older. Especially if you already need a cheater lens.

🙏 I'm 24 and started welding last year, except for very low amperage I'm always using the highest, 13, setting on my 3M speedglass autohood. Figured as long as I have my sight intact should try to preserve it.

@@leander_d don't forget plasma cutting is as bright as welding and torch cutting should be done with ar least a 5.

Its work well until there is no light backside. If you weld using this on Sun, you will regret using them

I think they enlarge the weld and help you see it clearly while welding

Probably wouldn’t need a cheater if you welder at 11 or 12 on your shade

why do all you stick welders weld with such small veiwing areas and thick ass plastic hoods? Just so many other lighter options with large veiwing area.

Most of Welder’s that I worked with that used a 9, either welded low-amp TIG or have shaded safety glasses.

It's the same in all the trades. A lot of the boomers are retiring so a lot of that nonsense is going to be gone soon
