I've been installing these for many years, and this is the most concise, simple to understand, and CORRECT video of the process. First class my friend!

Thank you! Even though I’m not a gunsmith or machinist, watching this video helps me to know my Mauser and make better decisions on upgrades. More please!

I have a Mauser 98 in .416 Rigby I bought when I lived in Europe around 2005+-. It has a three position safety similar to the one you are installing in this video which has a problem. When I first bought it I found some effort was required to move the safety lever from the Fire Position to the center position and the Safe position, but you could move it with a bit of effort so I lived with it, thinking it would wear in. Now the gun has been sitting unused in my gun safe for more than ten years and I am considering selling it. I took it out to clean it and take some photos and found I was barely able to move the safety from Fire to Safe with maximum effort. After a couple of movements It seemed to get even worse and I now cannot move it without exerting enough force to worry about breaking something. I wonder if you can give me any advice? I could also send you photos of the bolt if you are willing to take a look. I am living in BC Canada and am wary of take the bolt to a local gunsmith who may not be familiar with the brand. Thanks for any help you can offer.

That's a lot of complicated work! Only a master gunsmith could do that.
