If you’d ever want a trencher, I recommend the Vermeer RTX100 with the 6” blade. It makes the perfect channel for any 4” corrugated, schedule 40 PVC, or sewer line. Could speed up all that hand digging or possibly another hand could operate it while you use the mini/skid steer.

Looks like another good job. Nice to see you are turning this into a family business. :) Couple of questions: 1 The main drainage ditch was lined with a fabric that you cut the flaps off. Why not just fold them over the stone and add your top coat, instead of using the black fabric. Question 2: Would it not have been quicker to remove the walkway slab, dig the drain, then put the slab back in place? Enjoyed the video, keep them coming.

To Answer your first question. I could have but it was a semi permeable fabric so I don’t think it would let the water through. So The black fabric is a permeable geotextile fabric that I know would allow the water to penetrate the top of the drain. To answer your second question. that probably would have been faster. But they specifically asked me not to break or cut the concrete. so I just went underneath it.

How does the e20 compare to something like a U17 Kubota? Debating on what one to get for a upgrade from my 1.2T digger
