Installing a 10k lbs Olympic 2 Post Car Lift - 2PBP-10

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The 10,000 lbs two-post Olympic equipment car lift is in and installed. This is going to be a bit of a longer video. I decided it was better to do it in one shot than to break it up into two separate parts. Overall I love the lift, however, there were also things I learned along the way that I was not a fan of to include, the company picturing a single-point release mechanism but then writing that it was dual manual release on the lift plates in the details. The instructions are also in dire need of improvement.

Great video - thanks for spending the time to document this! 👍 I think it's hilarious that this video is posted prominently on the Olympic website (as an "installation review") - I REALLY hope that they actually watched your video, took your comments seriously and fixed the manual (an addendum perhaps?), documented the electrical hookup and oil weight properly! The lift looks well built (and assembled!) but it's really too bad the documentation is so lacking!

thank you for this. the instructions do suck, and your watching video was great for preparing to do this job. general working knowledge of mechanical and electrical things is good enough to do it, but visual aides are always a good confirmation of the process. ps. i have a 944 and tesla also. :)

Just a heads up, you did the cable ends incorrectly. You run the cable through and stack the nuts to create a “jam” nut system.

nice videos... definitely helpful!!!... one question. could the lift motor and tank be mounted remotely? By simply extending the hydraulic line?

I don't see why not. Generally you would want to keep it on the post so you can check to make sure the vehicle is balanced and not have to run back and forth as you are working on a car.

@@ForgeSpace thanks for the response,. Very helpful... I have a good size shop. But if I mount it as shown on this one it will make it so I completely make one of my two bays useless. If I could mount it on another side of the pose (like some other mfg) it would work perfectly... But doesn't look like that's an option

Does this need compressed air or just power?

We offer the highest HP units on the market! the competition uses 2 and 3 HP motors. We start at 3hp and move up from there. Thanks for allowing us to explain the differences!!
