This is incorrect setup which may break your boiler. You should use the port on the boiler managed by phase. Send phase signal from the Sonoff to the boiler to trigger the hot water or heating. I have my boiler setup with 3 Sonoff switches for first floor, second floor and hot water heating.

Did you use Sonoff power to control your water heater? I tried to use loop timer to off the water heater automatically after 40 minutes but the off time was almost random. Also Sonoff pow cannot use sensor. I don't know what to do.

I know. But we need this from another country to include Baxi. For example, when we are on vacation. This is an example. But it helps us a lot

I love the Sonoff devices, but this setup does not look safe. Extra caution should be use when dealing with any high voltage device that's in close proximity to water.

Can you add sonoff th16 to smart life app? Is it possible? Because the eWelink is very buggy and unreliable. Timer isn't working properly and the push notification sometimes it works sometimes not.

Buy a smart / wi-fi chronothermostat, the TH10 / 16 have a temperature difference of 2 ° if you set it at 20 ° both as the ignition temperature and the switch-off temperature, it switches on at 19 ° and switches off when it reaches 21 ° then 2nd madness for an environmental thermostat, then it stopped, the time bands do not respect the set temperatures, it becomes a remote timer and not a chronothermostat, like a normal sonoff switch without probe and temperature so if you set the times you can use it as a timer and monitor the detected temperature on sight. For me it's not good as a room thermostat.

When the sensor cuts off the power, the gas or the pump of your heather may be on... so i beleve that's not so good for your Baxi. What about hot water? When the sensor cuts off the power not only cut the heat but also the hot water..

For several months we have been using this. Very comfortably. Yes of course hot water will not be, But we use it as a last resort, when from afar we need to include BAXI

Now if the temperature sensor was wireless, this would be perfect. Then you wouldn't need an expensive nest or hive system!

Amazing Road TV killing tue power to entire heater is not such a good idea. You need to keep the heater on (power led on) and to trigger the water pump to start and heater/gas flame to start. For this each heater has a strap(a wire ) that shorts 2 contacts. When you shorts this contacts, you ask the heater to start that water pump and heat the water until it reach the desired temperature. Once the water in the circuit has the desired temperature (that you select on the heater main board) the gas flame stops and the pomp will run for few minutes (most of the heaters has 3 minutes, for example Ariston). This is important. Is the same principle with a room thermostat that you can buy. To achieve this with esp8266 you need to change sonoff to have a dry contact relay and not to switch mains power. This way with a dry contact (like a short circuit) you can connect the output of the esp to the heater contacts ( on the main pannel) and when you turn on esp it will command the heater to start heating. Check heater manual for more info. I’m from Romania and usually in Europe we do not have the US style home hvac. We have electrical/gas heater for heat and AC fir cold air. Btw I just finished a project like this for my Ariston heater using esp8266 and iPhone Homekit (including Siri).
