I just purchased one of these and this video is amazing. My last cooler was a bit of a pain to install but this one looks extremely easy.

Mine didn't and I had only 2....

I bought one for my 10700k a couple of years ago, all this time I was throttling, I suffered for a very long time but could not imagine that the socket area of the cooler could be crooked, it just swayed on the table and on the processor, I sent a letter waiting for where to go I know, as a result, I bought water cooling)

3:00 it is crucial to select the correct length wires. Mine had 2 sets of wires with different length. The longer wires almost fit but not really. They look similar.

shorter ones worked. its very tight but it works and fits very satisfyingly.

I have one of these and it's a beast, great performance. Not so happy about the lack of RAM clearance. How does the it perform if you mount the cooler on the back of the heatsink to pull air?

how do you remove the fan once it's installed? One of the points isnt aligned with one of the holes on the fan for my setup.

Any plans for dark rock 5 series?😊

I saw you using washers in your old video. Do I need washers for am4 or did you change the product?

They are only needed for AM3 which isn´t supported anymore

I have a question, thinking in upgrade for overclock, is this dark rock 4 "backplate braket" for Intel exactly the same we found in Dark Rock Pro 4? I mean, no need to quit motherboard if I change this one for Pro version? Thanks!

The backplate is the same. Only difference are the mounting brackets, for the pro version they are shorter. Otherwise it would be fan faceing top/down

That 135mm fan might hit the cooling fins on the back. We would recommend to use a 120mm fan and use the longer fanclips included in the box

Is a good quality thermal paste included in set? Or I need better one?

Yes, our DC2 thermal paste is included in the scope of delivery.

That is not needed. Just make sure the cooler has a good fit

This is Kingston Fury Ram. If you use ram slots 2+4 it should be no problem. You could also install any 120mm fan on the backside of the cooler

I had the same issue which isnt actually an issue. You need to open the other side and press the socket thing back into the mainboard, then you can screw the screws in.

I read that it won't fit out of the box with a am5 cpu ? that you have to change the backplate on the motherboard ? Is that true or false ? Thank you very much

Hey, the AM4 socket is physically identical to the AM5 socket. This means you can also use the mounting material for the AM4 socket of the cooler for the AM5 socket. The backplate is part of the mainboard in this case. The backplate from the AM4 socket to the AM5 socket has changed, but you can still mount the cooler on the AM5 socket with the AM4 mounting kit.

@@finnchleboun7571 das ist mir klar. Nur habe ich den Montagekit für amd nicht. Da ich es gebraucht geholt hatte und nur für Intel ist. Und das kit für AMD war nicht bestellbar seit letzte Woche bis heute.

If the fan sits above the first slot, that wouldn´t be possible. The Dark Rock 4 has a clearance of 23,15mm

Für einen 8 Core CPU ok ... aber so bald man einen 12 core CPU und drüber hat zu warm . Edit : Noctua NH-D15 ist nur Notwenig ab über 8 Cores , es sei denn man will im Sommer Super hohe Temperaturen haben .

Einfach den Dark Rock 4 Pro nehmen. Und kerne haben die Anzahl der Kerne haben nichts mit der Abwärme zu tun. Ein i5 13600k hat z.b. 14 kerne und die packt der Locker.

with this cooler I can only fit 2 RAM pieces!!!

@@bequietofficial Thank you, but I have already bought this one. Thanks to the advice of my supplier Azerty in the Netherlands. They forgot to tell me I can only use 2 RAM slots when I install this cooler. Now they do not want to take it back because it is already installed. By them.

Clip them in the fan first and insert it afterwards in the fins.

3.5 hours just to get the fan on with those AWFUL wires (this is my 4th PC build and never had this trouble with anything before…). They were on the verge of breaking by the time I finished and I don’t trust it not breaking when I have to travel around with my PC in car. The ONLY part of my PC which in hindsight I would have changed just because of how the fan attaches to the grails. Shame on you Be Quiet, that’s the worse implementation of anything I’ve ever seen. For those who were in my position, how I managed it was by using the two shorter wires, placing 3 grills to the top, putting in one side first, then stretching that side 100% into the grails and pressing across the fan to the other side. Then getting the other wire, putting in holes first, then stretching it to get it on the grail to the point I thought it was going to break (would have probably bought a whole new CPU if that happened, which is a pain since you have to use thermal glue already)

NO! BAD PASTE!
