I ran into a problem when checking that SKSE would run for the first time, I got asked to download the creation content, like all of it back, but I used the mod Anniversary Edition Content Picker. I wonder if that is normal?

Got suckered into playing skyrim again, but last time i got into modding, i accidentally broke my entire installation xD Following your guide makes it seem a lot more safe and understandable, even using Mo2 now instead of Vortex. I can't wait for the next part! (:

Hey guys, if you're using the 1.6.1170 version of the files, you need to add ALL of the files to your directory file. Not just the DLL and EXE.

They're new version which is the skse64 (1170) and when i move the file into the main one the loader lost its "exe" and won't launch ,dyk why?

its all about the time that u have and if ur willing to follow countless of installation guides for all kind of mods really, you can also revert to older version of skyrim which I recommend. Personally I never had any success with installing modlist via vortex same goes for Fallout 4, so I'd stick to MO2.

Didn’t break anything-mildly annoying-but I’ve moved my initial Gaming file from my desktop to another location on my PC for better organization. Mod Organizer 2 can no longer jumpstart steam from the loader, I have to open Steam up separately through a shortcut I made moments before. Everything still works perfectly, but what do I need to do should MO2 not being able to find the steam.exe app become a problem in the future?

Yeah, the rumours appear to be true in regard to SKSE being broken in STEAM version. I think that's why the patch update doesn't mention STEAM version. But isn't that normal whenever Bethesda update patches for their Games that SKSE gets broken. SKSE devs work extremely hard to update SKSE.

When i try to launch it on vortex it gives a promp that it failed to run tool i followed the instructions multiple times and reinstalled the game and it kept giving me the same error.

I’m glad I could help! You’ve got this! Take it easy at your own pace and before you know it it will come naturally :-) don’t worry about having SE. The only difference is the content picker which you can just skip :-) the rest is the same

Hey could you explain what you by "the files will merge" when transferring the SKSE files over to the game directory because I have no option to "merge" anything. If you mean that DATA files will need to be replaced and and the other 2 will be place in the folder G.D. then maybe thats why my peepee is in a toaster right now.

im doing everything correct but after i open the game and press continue or new game , im stuck in an endless loading screen. what can be the issue??

I was finally able to install skse64, now my game wont launch at all. I'm using Vortex, and was able to have that run as primary. Any help would be appreciated.

i got the normal steam edition, i think its updated to 1.9.32 etcetc, I have all DLC but i dont have a SkyrimSE.exe file :/ its either SkyrimLauncher or TESV ._. i tried renaming those but then SKSE said i had the wrong version...i was using the Anniversary Edition, maybe i need another one? i used SKSE years ago on an old computer, so i know it should work on my version...but i am lost :/

just tried this method and the game instantly closed on opening it im using 1.5.97 after using the downgrade patcher and i downloaded skse for 1.5.97 so it should be working but its just not EDIT: think it might be the downgrade patcher screwing me over, gunna keep trying, ill keep ya updated

thought id finally update LOL turns out you can download the 1.5.97 version before the anniversary update and that sucky mod menu they try to get you to use without even using the downgrade patcher, works muh smoother if anybody wants the codes i can add them in a comment with the method

Address library still not working???

At the point where I ran Skyrim through running SKSE in MO2, Skyrim opened and prompted me to download all of the AE mods again, which I did, not being able to click out of that window. Dumb mistake, looks like. Now in MO2, I'm showing a red X next to Anniversary Edition Content Picker, and an Overwrite warning, which do not show up on your screen, so I'm assuming the download has done something to my setup that shouldn't be there. How do I fix this?

Looking around, I found an overwrite folder in my MO2 Instances folder with what look like all the files. Might those be the files causing the error, and deleting them would fix it?

Can't get SKSE to launch the game.

I did every thing till 3:30 when i try launching SKSE through MO2 it won't launch

I'd suggest starting this series from the beginning in that case as there's alot of areas that you'll need to be aware of if you're entirely new to modding. Easiest way is to go from the first episode. 7z are 7zip files and require 7zip. This is covered in the series :)

Why on earth would skse launch skyrim too large for my screen? I tried a simple fix by adjusting to 100% in display settings, but that did not solve the issue. When I launch from steam, the resolution is fine.

MO2 -> Tools -> Tool Plugins -> INI Editor -> skyrimprefs.ini -> change Size H&W to Screen Resolution Edit: Remember to save before closing

A good question. Depending on how the update has impacted mods it might change so at this point I’m unsure I just have a checklist of what to cover then ill split it up where it feels natural for modders to take a break :-)

Your videos are excellent quality, among the best I have seen. I am new to modding, and have carefully followed instructions, but cannot get GOG Skyrim AE to work. Here's what I have done: Installed Skyrim AE. Started game to confirm it worked and saved after opening scene Installed Mod Organizer 2 Installed SKSE for GOG Installed SkyUI_5_2_SE-12604-5-2SE Installed unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch using MO2 Installed unofficial Skyrim Creation Club Content Patches using MO2 Rebooted and loaded saved game with launch from MO2 Skyrim started, but my character was frozen in place. I found a thread which said to replace game_skyrimse.dll with a new file that allows GOG and MO2 to work together. Downloaded the new file and replaced the old .dll Now MO2 is frozen with error message: Cannot open instance Skyrim Special Edition - the game plugin doesn’t exist Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Script extender should just be implemented in some way already, I mean the team behind it already talks and works with Bethesda

SKSE doesn't think, it knows. You need to use Version numbers not the terms "Special" and "Anniversary" - this is explained in the video

How about doing a video on how to get on and use Discord?? I hate that site.

If you wanna play real cool game its not enough only skse-you need bunch of mods working with skse, and thanks to bethesda they all are outdated once again

unfortunately bethesda made this video outdated instantly. theres been 2 more updates since this came out. skse hasnt updated for either yet

Why does this have to be hard why do moding people think everyone is a computer nerd? I don’t have computer skills in the slightest. Why do they have to make it too complex to play anything but the stuff on the creations page? What is a binary path starting path do people really think I even have a clue what that means no.
