How To Swap Bronco Grilles Video! kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXej2LeApazSlaw.html
I ALSO recently installed the Spectrum Series light bar (the stronger and brighter version of their Black Series 20-inch bar).......it's AMAZING. AND - you don't need to take off the winch plate to install it. You can slide in underneath because it has a low body profile. I took mine off anyways to re-torque all the bolts and flip them over.

I'll check that out! Thank you for the comment!
I just finished by mount plate install from RC and your video with the tips to install it on the vehicle instead of following the instructions were cluch. I did fall into the trap with the two back winch mount bolts I forgot (even though you mention it) to put those in first before tightening down the winch plate but it wasn't too bad to get it back. Thank you! One tip for future installers with the light bar though, put the light bar in the winch mount area but NOT mounted (two bolts on each side), let it rest in the cavity near the bottom. It won't fall out and will be out of the way for the winch plate install and winch install bolts. Then you can move it into position and install the light bar.

I just completed my installation of both products this evening and everything works and looks great! Good job! Oh yeah, I've got a 2022 Bronco Badlands, Area 51 with Sasquatch, MIC and Lux package! I'm happy you found the videos useful. What are your thoughts on the install? Did you run into any issues?
@KenWatson-jq4wz
Жыл бұрын
@@NorthwestBronco The only issue I ran into was with the measurements and black and white photos of the plastic covers around the shackles. I followed the directions as written and made my Dremel cuts accordingly, however the 1 inch measurement down from the top of the bracket was wrong. I completed the first bracket cuts and when I positioned it on the bumper the top left portion of the plastic cover had a 1/2 gap where you could see the shackle bolt. I corrected the visual with black automotive paint so it's not obvious to anyone looking. On the other plastic cover I only cut 1/2 inch off the top portion and that one fit perfectly. Everything else was smooth sailing.

Thanks for this man! Have you ever used it yet? I’ve heard the quality of the welds are questionable. But I’m also of the side of realizing that you can’t generalize qualify over different product lines. I personally don’t think rough country engineered this halfway (from a strength) perspective. Thanks again for the great review man! I’m definitely getting one soon! Oh and the 9500 weighs 63.85 and the 1200 weighs 64.15. Minimal difference in weight 👍🏼😎

Thank you for the comment and giving me the numbers for the winch weight. I haven't had the opportunity to use it. My next overland season begins in June 2023. We will have to see how everything goes then. True the welds could be smoother, but the mount appears strong and the powder coating is nice. All in all I'm pleased.
Thanks for the review. I’m 90% sure this is the winch plate I’m going to go with. I will absolutely get the camera relocation kit from Mountains2Metal when I do mine. I find the front camera to be invaluable. I was hoping this would fit the 20” Heretic Studio Amber light bar, which does have two mounting points on the side. But, the heretic is too long. So I’m still looking for an amber solution like yourself.

I put the same winch on my 2 door BD. I went with this particular system because of cost and having the 2.7 V6 seems the hidden winch is not an option. Plus laying in the mud or snow to get the hook doesn't sound fun. Not having the front sensors sped up my install considerably. I got the 20" light bar with the DRL mode in it. Totally agree with You on the plastic trim pieces. The instructions weren't great about the trimming of them. It became a lot more clear as to why and what had to be trimmed once I saw the mount on the vehicle. I used a jig saw to do mine, like you said it all blends in.

Hi Brian, I really appreciate your videos. I was looking through the instructions for the winch/mount (which I have not purchased yet), and there was a step that involved having to trim away some of the sensor housing to clear the winch motor hosing. Was that pretty easy? How much did you have to trim?
@NorthwestBronco
Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is some trimming. I address that in the video at time stamp 10:20. The directions are very difficult to follow in regards to where to trim. I found it's better to just hold the piece in place and trim as you see fit. Once one side is done, simply mirror your cuts to the other side piece. The good news is, the bronco is all black down there, so minor mistakes are not a big deal as everything kinda blends together down there.
@rcarlin
Жыл бұрын
@@NorthwestBronco Sorry, I was not clear. I did not mean trimming the trim pieces, but rather trimming the parking sensor. See photos 33 and 34 in this document: s3.amazonaws.com/roughcountry/install/921510660.pdf
@NorthwestBronco

@@rcarlin Oh yes, that was easy. Simply use a dremel tool with the sander attachment. Depending on your winch choice, you just sand down until everything fits into place correctly. It obvious how much you need to sand once you get to that step. It's very easy and the part sands away very quickly.
Thank you for the video! For your amber lights, why don't you get amber fog light? Cheers
