I would strongly recommend soldering and heat shrink on the wiring also run the wire through the original boot rubber sleeve, bit fiddly to do but looks much better also treat and use grommets on any freshly drilled metal to prevent any water ingress or rust. Not taking anything away from your install it’s just a few suggestions to improve installation and prevent any further issues 👍👍👍

Excellent video 🙂 especially the routing of the wires, tho I have a canbus decoder 🙂 All I had to do was run a 20awg cable from one of the accessory 12v cables on the harness, the black neutral label was then taped away with high temperature harnes tape... no faffing with rear lights, the canbus decoder does all the work.

Shoddy installation. The cable should follow the rubber cable grommet and not leave the cables exposed. Do not twist wires together, they need to be properly connected. Intuitive yes but a quick install sadly.

Interesting, whether lines drawn on camera react to steering wheel rotation? Or the model is too old, and it doesn't respond?
