For those who have path problem : 1- touch .zshrc 2- open -t .zshrc 3- write : "export PATH=${PATH}:...." as video & save 4- quit terminal and open new one

Thank you for this video. After I downloaded sql server, .bash_profile is already showing in the terminal so I'm assuming it already has the correct file path and I don't need to complete the file path steps you described after you created the .bash_profile. Is that a correct assumption?

you have to use .zshrc instead of .bash_profile in the above video simple //explanation that was because we were using the zshrc terminal instead of the bash terminal

Check if the e in export is in lower case or upper. It should be in lower case.

after typing the command in your bash file. Open the terminal and enter this command: /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -uroot -p

Why do you selected this version? ( macOS 11 (ARM, 64-bit), DMG Archive )

He is using MAC M1 chip if ur using MAC with intel chip then go with x86

You can just add the path to the .zshrc file and not to the bash_profile file

bro you have to change you default terminal into bash for that first write chsh -s /bin/bash Then do the same process again.
