Install MC5111 camera into Furrion pre-wired bracket without removing the Furrion mounting shell

In this video, I will show you how to use the Haloview B-F02 Furrion bracket adapter to install MC5111 camera on your Furrion pre-wired RV without removing the Furrion mounting shell. This bracket adapter comes with a power cable adapter, you can connect to Furrion power connector with no cutting and splicing of wires.

VERY IMPORTANT TIP. Furrion wire is attached to RV's rear red marker lights. After you have installed the camera up on the RV, you must plug in your vehicle to the camper with your 7 pin cord, and then turn your actually headlights on in the vehicle....NOT daytime running lights because that won't turn on your RV marker lights. That's how the Furrion pre-installed plug gets its power, thru the red marker lights. I know....we just went thru this when installing our nice Haloview MC5111 on our brand new travel trailer with a Furrion preinstalled plug/black fin. :)

Karen, thanks for the tip. The camera would never come on with ours. Even after I hooked it up to my truck and turned on the headlights. Is there a small light that is supposed to turn on on the camera when is on?

Thanks for commenting. You should drill holes to install the camera, this camera bracket is only compatible with Furion prep mount.

It looks like the slot on the Furrion mount where the Furrion camera’s antenna goes is not sealed. (The Haloview camera’s antenna is on the opposite side.) How do recommend sealing that slot?

I have no idea, it's hard to seal this place, but there has a rubber base for waterproofing between the RV body and the bracket.

Haloview Rear View Camera It really should be sealed if there’s a possibility that water can get into the mount through that. The original cover from Furrion has a tab that covers that area. I recommend that you change your bracket to include the same tab.

@@autoall I actually came here looking for the answer to this same question. When I did not find one, this is what I did. Following the contour of the antenna plug on original Furion cover plate, I cut the antenna plug off of the plate. I then trimmed the bottom of the plug a bit with a fine file. Once I was satisfied with the fit, I epoxied the original plug back into the hole. I really don't think that it's a huge deal if it's not sealed as there is a gap (app. 1/8") between the bottom of the Haloview adapter plate and the Furion mount. As long as this opening does not become plugged, it appears that the cavity should self drain.
