Install Headlights on 2013 Ford Explorer with LASFIT LED Bulbs
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I show how to replace the headlights on a 2013 Ford Explorer. LASFIT wanted me to do a review of their LED lights, so they sent me a free pair of LA9005 LED bulbs.
Bulb used in video and discount are expired. Here's the most relevant bulb:

Thank you for posting this - no way was I going to remove bumpers, etc., to replace a headlight!

Exactly. Thanks for watching!
Just installed these in my 2012 Ford Explorer. The fit is loose, but I used the orings off my old bulbs and seated them at the base of the new LASFIT LED's. Definitely made for a snugger fit. These are a nice improvement over the stock lights.

Thank you for the review. Unfortunately the promotion has ended but this was very informative.

Awesome! In one of the other comments, they said they used the o-ring from the old lights and put them on the new ones too get them to lock in tight.

@@becausestuffbreaks Yeah, saw that. Thanks. Just found out we have different bulbs. Ugh! Completely different. As in, these will not work. Had to pick up these instead and it looks like I may have to take off the grill, if not the bumper to get them out and replace. WTH. amzn.to/2CzJEaJ

I just replaced the bulbs in my 2014 Explorer, found that at some point the previous owner put the Lasfit LEDs in. The LEDs were so dim to the point that I had to use my fog lights all the time. After pulling out the LEDs I turned on the lights with them still connected...looked like an old X-mas tree bulb it was so dim. Wish I knew when these were installed, they don't last forever!

Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
Guys, mine fit loose as well, I couldn’t get it to lock in which made me nervous. Then I realized there’s an Allen wrench that came with the lights, you loosen the bracket on the LED light and move it up about 1/8 of an inch. It locked it perfectly.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I had another person say they removed a washer from the original lights and put them on the LED to fix this problem.
In my ford explorer 13, head light is halogen with square base that fixed with screws . So I how can use this led light .. Thank bro
Thank you brother !!!!

You're welcome!
I've got a 2015 Ford explorer with regular halogens and watched your video on changing over to LED. What about how the daytime running lights work? Our explorers use the same bulbs for running lights and the LED bulbs usually don't dim. How did yours react?

All good
hi justin, I want to get the led lights for my edge, but do these lights take few seconds or more to warm up to get to the brightness that they are supposed to at? or they light up to the brightness right away just like the stock ones? thank you for your time.
@becausestuffbreaks

They light at full brightness immediately.

LEDs don't need to warm up. You're talking about HIDs. I installed HIDs in my wife's being that the Explorer has projectors which make for a more clear cut than LEDs. There were a few videos I watched that explained and showed the comparison if you don't want your lights shooting all over the road.
Is everything still holding up fine? No melting or problems associated with these?

I have been told to drill some vent holes in the dust cover, have you found this to be necessary? My concern with this is that dust cover melting due to the heat.

Im surprised the boot doesnt defeat the forced air (fan) cooling. A lot of kits have a seperate switched mode regulator brick as part of the led capale pigtail - that seems like it wont fit behind the boot nor do they include reinstalling the boot in instructions. Confusing.
I have a 2014 explorer with led headlights, so dim can't see anything, I'd like to go with halogen, is all I have to do is unplug the leds and plug in halogen bulbs
